We spend our days quietly.
I finally caught up with laundry and disinfecting. Still catching up on sleep.
I made a wonderful meat loaf one night. Thanks Mary Lou! It was a hit.
I am only doing the things that I think are most important. If it involves Far Guy or Chance it takes priority.
Yesterday Chance and I fed the birds, one tiny little Nuthatch and I came eye to eye…he was really hungry. Chance was really bored walking back and forth from the feeders to the garage…I think he missed his longer walk. No one has ever been able to explain to Chance that the mail does not go on Sunday. In his perfect Border Collie world the mail goes every day.
It was –27 F yesterday morning or –32C eh!
Far Guy is feeling just a little bit better, he is still exhausted and coughing. My hope is that he will improve just a little bit everyday. He is a little stronger than he was two days ago.
Thankful that FG is making some improvement and that you are slowly catching up. Brrr at your temps. May God bless you, FG and Chance. xo
ReplyDeleteI hope that Far Guy will feel better every day.
ReplyDeleteQuiet days are a good thing, especially when you've both been sick, and recovery is needed.
ReplyDeleteSo very glad to hear this. Hope Far Guy continues to improve.
ReplyDeleteVery glad to hear that Far Guy has made some improvement. A little stronger than he was 2 days ago is a good sign. I think Winter needs to go and Spring come so that people will get well. Something about Spring coming that wipes out all the "yuck" from winter. Keeping you both in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteKeeping Far Guy and you in my prayers. Glad he is showing some improvement. Sounds like you are taking care of yourself and catching up a bit on all that goes by the wayside when someone is sick. The temperatures in Park Rapids make me shiver. We will have more cold but we get thawing spells once a week or so.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, long, quiet days are good.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you two are on the mend. Having two border collies myself (one who is 15 years old), I totally understand Chance's view about mail delivery. I live in Upstate NY, and it has been cold, but your temps make me cringe! Those kind of temperatures make everything difficult. Keep getting better!!
ReplyDeleteHaven't looked at blogs for a a while. So sorry to read that he was so sick but happy to know he is getting better. God does answer prayers.
ReplyDeleteGlad for a bit of "normal" returning to your life! Still Keeping you & Far Guy in my prayers!
ReplyDeleteGood news that your quiet days are at home and not at the hospital, and that Far Guy is better than he was. Time, rest, and love - all are helpful.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the positives today. Hugs and prayers.

Aw well, perhaps a stroll to the mailbox even on Sunday is good for both!:-) If you are feeling up to it of course. Those are wicked temperatures, I hope there is no wind along with that. Glad to hear that there are signs of improvement, no matter how small. Healing thoughts sent your way.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear FarGuy is gaining strength. You rest often also.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear of some improvement....probably that good care he gets from you. The meatloaf sounded good. My cat is very sick ,...feeding with a syringe every 2 hours and pills...liver problems....both of us evidently. I'm bushed! I hope you both get well very soon!
ReplyDeleteSlow but sure wins the race...:)
ReplyDeleteGlad things are improving. Also glad to hear the meat loaf was good!
ReplyDeleteSending healing thoughts to Far Guy!
ReplyDeleteI have never had meatloaf in my life
ReplyDeleteBetter than two days ago--we'll take it! So glad to hear that.
ReplyDeleteQuiet days are good. I hope you both get some rest. Love and hugs! :)
Quiet days and some improvement... good things. I hope you can catch up on your rest.
ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for putting my temperature in today's blog. Tell Far Guy to keep chuggin along.
ReplyDeleteYou sound like you are in a better place today, with you well, FG beginning to get better, and that wonderful dog to keep you company. Peace be with you.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that Far Guy is a little better. I hope you will both be feeling a little better every single day. Isn't this a cold winter? Gosh, I can't get over all the below zero temps we are having. Hope all your readers well-wishes at least warm your hearts! Get well soon, both of you!
ReplyDeleteThese cold temps stink - seems like an old fashioned winter with all of the cold cold days we have had. We stayed in yesterday, too cold to even go to the neighbors (I think we are getting older) :)
ReplyDeleteMeat loaf is good comfort food. For me it is meat loaf with mashed potatoes. Both of you take things slow and rest. One day at a time. Keeping you all three in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteHope your husband feels much better as the week goes forward. I'm in self-imposed exile at home, since it seems everyone in E.B. is either very sick or recuperating. Chance is quite the friend.
ReplyDeleteTaking it day by day is best. Glad there is a bit of improvement every day. That adds up.
ReplyDeleteYou poor things! It's an awful bug.
ReplyDeleteMy client, age 94, has it. I haven't been visiting. (I don't want it, either!) My daughter had it, too.
