Stewpid

I had one day this week where I was easily irritated.  Just ask my husband.

Nothing irritates me more that Stewpid.

We were at “The Helpful Hardware Place.”  I knew what kind of top soil I wanted, I quickly located the bag..low and behold there was no price on the bags and no price was on the standy uppy thing nearby.  The very nice gal that was selling flowers outside called inside the store to find out the price.

I went inside to pay for my purchase.  I know the cashier quite well, I told her “ Several pallets of soil are not marked outside, please tell Brad that I complained.” One of the store helpers overheard what I said, she said  “Everything outside is marked.”  “No it’s not.”  “WELL it certainly is, maybe the rain washed off the price.”  I said “Go look.”  She  was out there scratching her butt head, I walked by and said “Looky that the rain washed a whole bunch of price placards away.”

Let’s just say we will never be fast friends….I prefer people that have at least half a sandwich for the picnic and at least one oar to row the boat.

Flower Garden Planted June 2

It was a nice day yesterday.  I got the small garden planted yesterday.  Now hopefully the squirrels will leave it all alone.

Glass Flower

This is one of the glass flowers that I put out in the small garden. I am slowly getting them carted out of their storage spot.

Maybe she still thinks the slogan is "helpful hardware man."

I know a few people who fit the "stupid" category. It's a real shame they will never change. Sure glad our Ace Hardware doesn't have one of those working there. Your yard is looking great. Have a nice weekend.

I like your pretty glass flowers and will keep my mouth shut about "stewpid." Your description of the event made me smile, though. Wouldn't want to be on your bad side ever. :-)

No comment on 'stewpid' (They outnumber us!), but I think your little garden is promising—and I love the glass flowers!

I have the same problem. I try not to be critical of others but some days are harder than others and when you are older and have gray hair like me they think evidently that everyone with gray hair has Alzheimers! I do not like being patronized at all or treated like I don't have any brains when my entire life and career was based on them....well one brain anyway! LOL!
Your blue and clear flower is my favorite one! Your flower garden looks great. Do those whirlygigs keep squirrels away? Plastic forks? Moth balls? Although the moth balls might not be safe for Chance on "the chance" (tee hee) that he might injest one out of curiousity. He's smart but you never know.

It's the ones who are too stewpid to know they're stewpid that bug me. Like the know nothing at the helpful hardware store.

Hate it when sales people assume I stupid and blind.

Gee whatever happened to "the customer is always right?"

I had a similar incident at Walmart....I agree with Linda W...whatever happened to the customer is always right. At the very least, the employee should have rechecked outside, before opening his (or her) your mouth!

Don't you just hate that! In our helpful hardware place, usually if the price is in the little stand up thing, all the product is sold out...if there is plenty of product, there will be no price. It's that way with the animal feed we buy there. Your little garden spot is pretty!

Not using waterproof ink on outside signs--unbelievable!
Openly doubting a customer without checking the situation--unbelievable!
It is really rare to get good customer service anymore.
Your garden and glass flowers look great, though. :)

Ugh, I hate people like her.
I do love your garden spot and I've always admired your glass garden stakes. Your header photo is very nice, too. Have a good weekend.

Hm, what ever happened to "the customer is always right"? Not very Minnesota Nice either.
Earlier this spring I was in the same situation Walmart. The potting soil was outdoors and the organic one I want d wasn't marked. There was an employee gathering carts in the garden department so I asked hm the price. His reply: "I don't work here,". Yet he was wearing a blue Walmart vest!!

It seems that good service is lacking in many places.

I had a somewhat similar thing happen to me last week at the library where the librarian refused to believe me when I told her that neither the outside nor the inside "machines" that check in one's books worked. She didn't even have the courtesy to apologize when faced with the obvious. The scowl on her face made me want to slap her. ( Maybe I was having "one of those days" too!!)

I had to grin at your sarcasm. We would get along.
Making glass flowers is fun.

I'd like to know, did you receive an apology. I get so tired of people arguing with me insisting i am wrong and being proven wrong to then have the poor behaviour to not even apologise, grrr...

Nope no apology :(

I saw this post in your side bar and I guess I missed it. Cracked me up, and thank you so much for the laugh. No, there is absolutely no cure for "stewpid"!
