Second Snow

It began to snow late on Monday and it has snowed off and on since then.

Chance looks good in snow.

I guess winter must be here..I found my snow boots and my parka.  Far Guy moved the snow shovel next to the front door..it seems he put it away such a short time ago.

Far Guy picked a new spot for the snow stake so we can keep track of the snowfall levels.  Blog readers can be bored to death  amazed at the snow fall amounts in Minnesota once again and yes we will most likely have a snow stick contest of some sort.  Not sure what yet..but it will be something really exciting! ..maybe.

Thirty two of the sixty Christmas ornaments have been completed.  We are over half done.. whoopee!

I am never in much of a Christmas mood until after Thanksgiving..and sometimes not even then.  I am already sick of the Christmas Carols..if I hear “Have yourself a merry little Christmas” a la wally world or Justin Biebers rendition of “Little Drummer Boy” even one more time I may just skip Christmas this year…with all the hype surrounding that dude I thought he would be able to sing better than me..and I am tone deaf.  He has all three of our Granddaughters swooning.   “ OH he is so dreamy.”  “He is the best singer..and makes me have goose bumps all up and down my arms.”  Uffda..youth:)

I hate how they have started the Christmas thing way to darn early, by the time it gets here I am so sick and tired of hearing Christmas carols and seeing the decorations that I don't want to even see Christmas on Christmas day!!

Okay, I hadn't heard Justin sing Little Drummer Boy and so I had to go find it on youtube. Rapping! No-no-no! I do love my traditional Christmas songs, but that would drive me nuts hearing that over and over again! Yuck! Makes me glad to be housebound. I can pick what I listen to over the holidays--LOL!! ;)

That's so true, Connie. It's way too early for the songs, but fortunately for me I've only been in one place (the Farmers' Market) where Christmas music is playing. You just reminded me that I'd better get any Thanksgiving fixings tomorrow (Friday) so I won't get in the rush next week.

Uffda is right. I like the old versions or Christmas carols, but only after Thanksgiving. Nov 1 is way too soon.

Well, the snowfall and local concerts have put me in the mood. I have kids and they get excited about the holidays. Plus, I'm planning the Christmas Eve service at my church, so I might as well embrace the festivities. Hope you find things/people to love during the holidays! The ornaments are a big project!

I'll second the "Uffda" and raise you two more. haha

Yay for second snow!!! Chance does look good in snow. Justin B-what's-his-hair singing Christmas songs, well that would make this person never want to hear another Christmas song again....and I love Christmas songs, I sing them in July!

Nice snow photo but it doesn't make me wish for any!

I'm sorry to hear your granddaughters aren't feeling well.

But I can't wait for your snow! I'm sorry you must endure winter, but I am so glad I have found someone to live vicariously through! No better a person to deliver the snow news in my book! Donncha know.

Chance DOES look good in snow. Brace yourself for drifts and ice cube feet. Amen to too-too-too much Christmas music.

Oh My Goodness.

I like snow but don't know if I'd want it this early. (same with Christmas music - I don't turn it on until AFTER Thanksgiving.)

You poor dear,Snow so soon? that is why we are seeing so many spring birds that come back in the late fall most we don't see until Dec.
I have not heard any Christmas songs yet but I have not been out much.

Your funny. Justin is a cutie now. Take a good look at him. If I was a teen I'd be drooling. I hear ya about Christmas. I'm ready for it to be over already. When I first heard a holiday tune on TV the other day I wanted to turn it off. Stop. Stop. Stop I'm not ready this year.

Wow! Look at all that snow. I was a retail manager and had Christmas music on all day from Nov 1st on, so I cannot do Christmas songs until December - maybe even the middle of Dec.

My daughters, on the other hand are playing them now.

Boy do I remember the days in retail when we HAD to get everyone in the CHRISTMAS mood---translate READY TO BUY---so the Christmas songs started the day after Halloween....wait no...the first of November. Halloween is October. Ugh I remember the wails of IT'S TOO EARLY and I still agree ....it is too early.

No snow for us yet - plenty of rain though. We are wet and muddy here. That makes for sloppy dog feet. At least with snow the clean up is easy.

FYI - I must have made an impression at the Vet. They've called me 3 times since this morning checking to see if things are okay with Riley.

Yes I stand and listen to it for 6 hours a day at work. Not sure how merry I'll be by Christmas!!

We are getting snowed on today and will get 10 to 15 cms. We'll leave some and send it your way. That snow stick needs some use.

Chance looks good in the snow. I'm not particularly fond of the white stuff myself. I admit it's beautiful, but that's where my affection for it stops. Looks like you're going to get a bunch. I LOVE Christmas carols. They don't start playing them around here until Thanksgiving. Too bad 'cause I could have used A Little Christmas sung by Angela Lansbury today. Got a very sick hubby and it looks like he may not be well enough to enjoy Thanksgiving. Take care.

You've gotten more than us, Connie! Wow. And I have a swooner too. We need to cry over coffee sometime. Let me know next time you're in town!

Brrrrrr - - with the snow!!! Chance does look good in it though. I'm impressed with you being over half way done with your ornaments. That's the way to think of it - - - - in terms of what's finished rather than how much is left to go. It helps the mindset a lot.
