We got a new Great Nephew. He was born to our niece Megan and her husband and joins big brother Teddy. Eight pounds four ounces …he seemed so little when I held him. It has been about a year since I held a newborn.
Jen offered to take photos of him. He was either asleep or crying. I got to take a few photos too.
His name is Harlow. An awfully big name for such a little boy. Although he is very strong and holds his head up really well for being just six days old. He has lots of hair on the back of his head which is very dark… he seemed just perfect to me.
My other baby brother has left me in the dust…this is his eleventh grandchild.
I am crocheting Harlow a blanket…hopefully I will get it done before it gets too warm outside. I had my eye on some bulky soft yarn for a long time and when I found out he was a boy I picked out my favorite little boy color yarn…but it is still in the bag on my desk.
Harlow is adorable. It has been way to long since I have held a little baby. Happy crocheting!
ReplyDeleteHe is just perfect, isn't he? I can't remember the last time I held a newborn child. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, what a sweet little bundle. I like his red and black jammies, too. Congratulations on the new addition to you family!
ReplyDeleteHow many grands do you have? :)
ReplyDeleteFive :)
DeleteYou will need some twins to catch up.. :)
DeleteBetter get busy with your project before he gets too big! What a lovely little guy. My youngest brother has 7 grandchildren under the age of 8!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful little baby! I was able to hold my newborn great grand daughter a year ago when she was just a few days old. She last week passed her First Birthday and we just love her.

Aww- he is just adorable!!! It's been three years since we had a baby grand here. I think my kids are done but you never know. I have an unfinished blue baby blanket I was crocheted for my first grandson..still in the plastic bag I stored it in..still not finished. He just turned thirteen yesterday!
ReplyDeleteAww sweet:) Love the red checked sleeper:)
ReplyDeleteHe is a cutie! Congratulations to the happy parents. God bless. ♥
ReplyDeleteI haven't held a baby in a looong time.
ReplyDeleteHarlow is going to be a handsome man and worthy of that strong name.
He is such a neat little fellow. We have had two new babies among the school staff and now another male teacher's wife is delivering today. The last one is due in another month. Harlow is a wonderful name. He could have been called Larry.
ReplyDeleteSweet baby. You'd better get busy on that blanket. Harlow won't be little for long.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember the last time I held a newborn. It must have been my own grandchildren, and the youngest is now almost 10!
New people are the greatest. I can never get over how tiny they are and how fast they grow.
ReplyDeleteHe looks perfect to me too. Those sweet little lips. There's nothing like holding a new baby.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little guy! You better get crackin' on that blanket. They grow so fast!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie! Nothing nicer than a soft warm baby in your arms.
