Snow and Prom

 It snowed early Saturday morning.

Just enough snow to cover the grass...it quickly melted but it was still a cool day.

I attended the virtual baby shower in the afternoon, it was fun to see my nephew and his wife.  We played some games...Name the Disney parents, Name that baby song, guess who and guess the price. There were people attending from all over the United States.

Then we got company.  It is Prom!

My other baby brothers grand...or our Great Niece Hailey and her beau.  Her dress even had pockets!  She was just beautiful!

Prom: Adam

Adam had many girls ask him to prom...one gal even asked him twice.  We were shocked when he finally said yes.

Since it is a very small school the kids all go through the Grand March twice.  One of the gals from Fisher  took a video of the Grand March.  It was almost as good as being there!

I was sad that I didn't feel up to going...but Jen took some good photos which I shamelessly stole from Facebook.

They all lined up out on a dock for a group photo.

Paige

It was a beautiful afternoon but a bit chilly by the lake where Paige’s group of friends gathered.  It was a bittersweet day, her last prom and looking so grown up and beautiful, in a few weeks she will graduate from High School.

Talking something over with her Grandpa…probably something about lello (Yellow) hair.  When Paige was little she couldn’t say Yellow for a long time…finally she told her Mom to make Grandpa stop saying lello.

Can you tell how much I adore the girls?  I do!
They were the prettiest girls around.  No Dogs allowed in the school for The Grand March  or the dance either…so I let the girls go there with their dates.

Far Side says I should say Happy Mother's Day to everyone!!  I hope your Mama is as good as mine!

Prom: Noah and his date

This is the first year that Noah has gone to prom. He wasn’t sure if he would go or not.  He asked Taylor to be his date.

We drove up North to take a few photos.  Luckily the rain held off.

I made a bracelet for Taylor, I had a photo of her dress and picked the beads and the design.  I waited to fit it at the last minute, I had to add a few more beads and make it a tad longer.  The second fitting was perfect!

But first she got this wrist corsage.

They went out for an early meal and then went to the school for group photos.

After the photos we went back to the house, and soon it was time for the Grand March.
Grand March
The first go round was very serious…
Second Grand March
The second time was much cuter.  Noah had a Fire Extinguisher and Taylor threw candy into the crowd.   I took it that he was a hot date and she was a sweet date!

The kids all had fun, some had horse head masks, others had shades and Hawaiian Leis, some even had grass skirts and coconut bras. But my favorite…
Crocs
comfy feet!
After the dance the kids were all headed by bus to an all night venue of activities, in the morning they will be returned to the school and have drawings for door prizes.  A safe way to send Prom night!  There were 26 couples that went to this small town prom.
