I have decided the BE will be my nudge word this year....again as it was my word in 2022.
BE happy, BE sad, BE in the moment whatever that may BE. BE kind and patient if you can BE, if not BE bitchy assertive...above all else BE a good advocate.
TBR To BE Read I should work on my stash of books and probably have a rule that when one book comes in the house another goes out. Sounds good in theory.
I have a huge photo project that should BE worked on. Photo albums from many many years ago. I have all the "stuff" just need to declare that puzzles are done with until the photo project is completed. Puzzles are more fun but the puzzle board takes up the space I would like to have to work on photographs.
I have many photos on my computer and many flash drives that need to BE gone through.
The yarn stash needs to BE worked on. I am not entertaining the idea of one in one out for yarn skeins. A person has limits. It might work with book but there is no chance it will work with yarn.
These were the Christmas Cards this year...watercolor and gouache snowflakes. It was great fun!
I did not sign the cards on the inside in the hope they might BE recycled sometime.
Minnesota weather; High 5F or -15C Low was -10F or -23C eh! It was snowing in the evening.
Andy made Pulled Pork Tacos for supper!!
Far Side
It is a very good word. Mine for the year could be SEE.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good word, and a good plan!
ReplyDeletedon't forget melania's phrase...be best...and you are being spoiled i think by your resident chef...LOL
ReplyDeleteThose cards were beautiful. I keep many cards and use them for other projects for a while before they find life doing something else.
ReplyDeleteNo word for me this year. I haven't decided.
I wish you a happy new year and send you many warm greetings, Viola
ReplyDeleteYour cards are very beautiful.
My card arrived. It’s beautiful. So thoughtful of you to allow a second use.
ReplyDeleteBe is a great word for this year. Much better than was.
What a great word for the year. I'm with on the books being easier to let go of compared to the yarn. Whatever the year brings I know you will persevere.
ReplyDeleteBE warm and BE well, Connie.
ReplyDeleteGreat word to (be) focused on! Love the non-traditional colors of your card!! I wish I could get back into water color. I like the way colors blend.
ReplyDeletePhotos. Sigh. My old hard copies really need my attention. No one else will know who/what half of them are from. As for digital, those photos are filed and backed up where no one sees them. I have been struggling with the purpose of (taking) photo's...
I'm having a hard time destashing the yarn but the fabric is almost gone. Photos are something I really need to get working on. I"m digitizing as much as possible, then packaging them up and sending them off to the adult kids. I have literally thousands of negatives from the 1940s up to about 1990. Many are photos my father took in the war, so they are valuable.
ReplyDeleteWhat a good post!! BE is a terrific word for the year. I need to BE lots of things - more kind to myself comes to mind. Today I should remind myself to BE patient, as the day began with things I can't control. Sigh!! And like you there are books to read (too many), photos to organize (way too many), and projects to finish (more than I can count).
ReplyDeleteI love my card from you. Every year I put them in my special card collection just from you. They are very cherished!
ReplyDeleteIf you would like a very well-written book to read: one who makes you think, and stays with you , read, THE WOMEN, by Kristan Hannah
ReplyDeleteYes I read it last year for book club and enjoyed it:)
DeleteLOVE IT
ReplyDeleteI like your word of the year.
ReplyDeleteI loved my snowflake card that I received today. Thank you so much! BE is a good word and I need to add it to my year.
ReplyDeleteWith you in mind, I thought of a WORD, but I have already forgotten it. :-/
ReplyDeleteI'll have to re-think it. I'd choose REMEMBER but that might just be frustrating. How about self-forgiveness, if I make it into one word?
I always appreciate receiving your hand made cards. Thank you.
Beautiful cards. ❤️ Happy New Year. 😊
ReplyDeleteBe is always a good word!
ReplyDeleteBe sounds like a good word. Hope you have a good January too. Love your Christmas cards with all the snowflakes and love your tacos too. BEEE happy, healthy and Be at peace.
ReplyDeleteBE is a great word. I don't have a words, can never think of a good one. It's cool and dreary here today.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
