Trolls

Jen took Maddie, Hey Mikey and Cee Cee on an adventure!

In a nearby town there is International Recycling Art by Thomas Dambo.  There is a treasure hunt and a map to find all the trolls.   It is a wonderful way to get out and hike to different areas and see something different.

Maddie and Jen sent some photos!

It was a great adventure, the great grandkids didn't think the Trolls would be so big!

Yesterday was very warm again  91 F or 33 C and gale force winds all day.   I did some things in the morning but napped and crocheted the afternoon away inside in the AC.
Supper was BLT's and peaches.

  1. You are warmer than me down south. Only 70 here. My Ada would have loved the troll adventure. The trolls are really great art works. They even triggered my imagination!

  2. McFamily went to see trolls one time, but I don't know where. The trolls they saw were different than these. I am fascinated by the very idea somebody had for these giant trolls!
Good weather to be inside with the AC. ;)

  3. Those are amazing trolls! I would have been surprised to see they were that big too.
Aunty Jen is a pretty awesome aunt, and I bet Maddie appreciated some time without the little ones.

  4. I saw a YouTube video about the trolls a while back. They look fascinating and I can just imagine the stories that can be made up about them. Did you ever have those troll dolls when you were younger? I only had one or two but my sister had a lot. They were fun to play with.
    Blessings,

  5. This is so neat and wow, the trolls are really very big. I know they enjoyed this hike and the company of Jen. I thought of you yesterday when I saw a material picture on FB. It was a squirrel put together with all kinds of scrape material...and framed. So very cute...my thoughts were...I know someone who could certainly make that.

  6. That tall one is unlike any that we have here. Our erea has been added to the list of places with Dambo's trolls. They are fairly spread out and I have only seen one, outside the Nordic Heritage Museum in Ballard/Seattle. I think a troll field trip sounds like a great idea. I'm going to put it on our list to do here!

  10. What a great adventure and thanks for sharing the photos. I wouldn't have imagined the trolls would have been so big either. I'd give my eye teeth for a BLT! No bacon for me....and I love it so...and corn on the cob...

  11. I love the trolls. I have found similar sorts of projects around my travels of the U.S. and thought they were a great way to get people out and about instead of sitting inside playing video games. I usually plan a stop at some park with something similar on long road trips to get the kids off their games and out of the car for an hour.

  12. It was only when I saw the children in front of the trolls that I realized how big those guys are
    ( trolls, not the children).

Those are some big trolls. Kinda scary too. Your dinner sounds delish.

  15. The trolls are fabulous! A couple of years ago I had researched locations for these around the country, but we never did take the road trip to see any of them.
