What better activity than to color and glitter up some fronts for cards. They will be trimmed matted and attached to cards some day.
It was a cool day. The high was 43 F or 7 C.
We had a quiet day, supper was steak and green beans...Far Guy sauteed a bunch of mushrooms for his steak...I do not like mushrooms so I had a baked potato.
I organized some of my ideas for birthdays coming up...getting my ducks in a row and a few things ordered for the two great grands that have birthdays soon.
This week three great nephews and a great niece graduated from two year programs; Hailey with a degree in Forestry, Jordan with a degree in Butler/Caterpillar Service Technology and Mason in Diesel Technology. Always fun to see these young adults going to school, doing the work and graduating! Onward and forward to adulting! Congratulations kids!( All are grands of my other baby brother and she who sees robins first)
Far Side
Congratulations to the graduates. I do like mushrooms and would love to have some right now...Sam doesn't like them though. You have such a wonderful talent with your cards...I am happy to have been a recipient of your art work...Happy Sunday
ReplyDeleteBetween your crafts nd your extended family, you have no trouble filling your days!
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to see young people who have a direction in life and do the work it takes to fulfill their vision.
We have dislike of mushrooms in common. Three graduations and a start of a new life. that's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteWhen I fry mushrooms in butter half of them are eaten right out of the frying pan. ( By me. DH isn't a fan).
ReplyDelete'Tis the season for graduations. Congrats to your great nieces and nephews.
Only one graduation in the family this year - a great nephew in MN. Where does the time go?
ReplyDeleteGlad the cousins are making future plans and getting ready to earn their way in the world. It’s a hard decision to make as to what one wants to do.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the young people, and I wish them much luck in finding the careers they are hoping for!
ReplyDeleteCool here too, and cool today as well. I want my warm weather back!
Those cards look so pretty
ReplyDeleteI love the craft done for the cards. They look nice.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and what great career choices! I bet the grandparents and parents are pretty proud!
ReplyDeleteAs much as people complain, I think we have a better education system today . Your grandchildren show us that it's good.
ReplyDeleteI want mushrooms AND a baked potato with my steak. :-)
ReplyDeleteYour young people sound very successful. Good for them and for all who support them.
The cards look great and I know from experience how appreciated they are by the recipients. It means a LOT to get a handmade card.
ReplyDeleteWe really like sauteed mushrooms on our steaks and we like baked potatoes too, although we're not eating many potatoes these days. Dennis is doing a much better job at avoiding carbs and sugars so he doesn't have to take diabetes meds. He's also lost over 30 lbs. over that last 9 months or so. I need to get him new jeans as his 34 waists jeans are falling off now. I told him to stop. I look like the goodyear blimp next to him!! Ha! Wish it were a joke.
Take care and rest. We have major thunderstorms predicted to arrive in an hour or so. Hope that's all they turn out to be with no surprises.
Blessings and love,
Betsy
I've always enjoyed mass producing cards. Been a while, though. Yours are always so pretty.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all the graduates! :)
