A Indigo Bunting visited us for a few days.
Such a pretty guy!
Yesterday we noticed a Bluebird at one of the nesting boxes. Fingers crossed for a good hatch.
The latest flag.
Minnesota weather; High 66 F or 19 C eh, Low was 40 F or 5 C eh.
Last night supper was BLT's and raspberries.
Far Guy continues to recover...slowly...he feels a tad better than a few days ago. ( Probably due to the Prednisone)
Far Side
Sounds like an excellent supper.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes the steroids do open up the lungs. Rich is permanently on them now as he wouldn't be able to breathe without them.
The bird is beautiful. Very glad to hear FG is feeling some better. It's discouraging to be sick and also can be scary when recovery is not happening as quickly as it used to happen.
ReplyDeleteThe kitchen has been slack at this house due to the cook working on painting projects - - like a deck and stairs. However it meant pulling from the freezer for a couple of meals and eating out, also. Bill loves the pulled pork BBQ from a fundraiser for a club activity at the community college where our older daughter teaches.
Glad your husband is feeling a bit better- hope you are too. I keep both of you in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteThe birds of spring are sure welcome as they bring their colour and songs back . We have a racket of swallows and starlings and robins every morning- I love it.
You have such beautiful birds! The only blue we have here are the bluebirds. I am SO thankful Far Guy is doing better. Sometimes I think ER is a waste of time. But so is a walk in clinic. I have no idea what would be better. But a four hour wait is terrible!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing color those birds are.
ReplyDeleteGlad Far Guy is doing better. Our temps dipped lower as well. I am, however, headed south to Alabama where it's in the 80s. I'll need to pack accordingly, won't I?
ReplyDeleteOh what a beautifully colored bird. We are in the 90's around here with storms expected to roll in this afternoon. Glad FG is doing some better....One day at a time.
ReplyDeleteGlad that Far Guy is doing better. Hope you are too. We get an occasional blue bird at our feeders but usually the only blue birds we get are blue jays. As pretty as they are they are loud, messy and bullies at the feeder, so they are not one of my favorite visitors!
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear that Far Guy is making progress on the road to recovery.
ReplyDeleteThe blue Bunting is beautiful!
So glad Far Guy is doing better! Those steroids are a wonder drug. I saw a blue bird the other day....my favorite although that bunting sure is handsome!
ReplyDeletethat last comment was mine
ReplyDeleteI am glad Far Guy is feeling better. I was just on a Prednisone regime because I had a super bad case of poison ivy. Glad the scientists discovered / concocted the drug.
ReplyDeleteKeep life simple and you'll get by.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely bird. We've had an oriole flying around outside the condo recently. It's a striking bird for sure.
ReplyDeleteSo glad there is a bit of improvement for Far Guy. Still praying.
BLT's are my favorite sandwich of all time. Yum!
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
Wow! That Indigo Bunting is quite a sighting!
ReplyDeleteGlad FG is showing improvement.
Indigo buntings are so beautiful. Lucky you. I love bluebirds too. So glad far guy seems a bit better....I'm praying for more good news like that! Take good care, you two.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful bird. I've never seen one in real life.
ReplyDeleteThose Indigo Buntings are such beauties! Love your Loon flag! My father's military marker was in place before his actual headstone, so for awhile it was our only way to find his grave. All 5 of the sons of my paternal grandmother served as well - 3 at once during WW2. I always wondered if they were all overseas at the same time. But my dad was the only one actually overseas in combat.
