I finally decided to plant a few flowers, we were in town anyway.
24 plants: 12 Impatiens ( red and white), 6 Salvia Victoria Blue and 6 Salvia that are red.
Good enough...the deer will probably come in and snack anyways...
The Solar Lights are on my list...some need repair and I have some lawn ornaments that need to be placed here and there.
We had a quiet day yesterday, had a visit with my other baby brother and she who sees robins first. Went for a Ranger Blue ride in the evening.

Those plants look fantastic there! I know the deer are an issue. It seems that they only come in our yard during the fall and winter.
They obviously don't mind the mules either but they give each other space.
Nice! A Ranger ride! I heard the 4 wheelers go back into the neighbor's place. These ones had LOUD mufflers and must be very local as they drove in on their machines.
A few annuals are on my list, too. We are currently at the tail end of a storm.
Your pretty flowers will bring you joy! Hopefully the deer find something else to munch on.

I have to get the annuals I started from seed in the gardens soon. I'm going to give the perennials more time, as they can be permanently planted closer to fall if I have to

It sounds like you had a lovely Sunday. I'm glad you get so much enjoyment from Ranger Blue. I would love to drive the trails like that. That is a nice assortment of flowers, I look forward to seeing their growth. (if the deer don't get them!)
I am fighting/drowning Japanese Beetles right now. For the deer to hopefully stay away from my meager flower garden, I have planted some Geraniums around the Coneflowers and Daisies.
The plants look very pretty there. I gave up and planted silk ones in the front pots! In the back I have a beautiful hanging basket that is real and a pot of marigolds. That's the only thing that I can plant that the deer won't eat!
I would love to have a wildflower garden of perenials in the far corner of the backyard but I doubt that will ever happen. It's SO hot here today. 103F and high humidity. Ick!

It must be frustrating having deer come in and eat your plants, but I love my memories of seeing wild deer freely wandering around whenever I have visited the States :)
My neighbor's son planted his first garden and we are keeping track of his deer battles on Facebook. He is on his second, higher fence. He has a lovely piece of property, right on the edge of town, with a woods next door. I think he needs a lot of luck.
I think going for evening rides on trails sounds like a wonderful thing to do.
Impatiens are so pretty but I have never had any luck keeping them alive. So I gave up trying. I like Victoria Blue Salvia but have not been able to find any last year or this one. hope the deer leave your blooms alone.

I am waiting for the seeds that I have planted. I have glads planted and dahlias. I am just so behind on everything.
