Leaf Obsession

My obsession with leaves in our yard is over. Complete...kaput.  I am tired of leaves, of being covered in leaf dust, tired of raking and a never ending supply of leaves in front of the door.

Yard at sunset.

I went outside after supper to watch the solar lights come on.  A couple were failures and will be dealt with soon.   The Salvia is real sad now...I should probably pull it out.

The snow stick still needs to be placed now that l can leaf the leaves alone.  The lawn mower needs a good wash and then it can be put away for the winter,

Yes, the trees look pretty bare now and your yard looks so nice. Love all your lights. :)

Glad your leaf chores are basically done for the year. Your solar light grouping is really cute.

Good for you. My leaves are falling, falling. I will have to get busy soon. Until then I have to wait.

The leaf-free yard looks great - time to rest a bit.

Congrats!!! We are just beginning the battle. We had thunderstorms this morning that brought down a bunch. It's still pretty green here though. It's hard to believe Halloween is just a few days away.

We have limited weekends to burn during a limited day time. I spent yesterday trying to get wet wood to burn. I spent most of my time mulching my neighbor's leaves in my yard. My silver maple has not begun thinking about shedding leaves.

Not a leaf in site! You do good work. I've never been able to get our yard that clear. We have trees that lose leaves at different times so it seems never ending. Enjoy your well earned break but I know you are busy with other things!

It all looks neat and tidy there. "Fall"ing is just beginning here. Leaf dust? Oh, you must have DRY leaves. :-)

So glad that you're done with leaves for another year!! Hopefully you won't need that snow stick for a few weeks yet.

Let a lot of this go natural and forget about so many leaves.

I love trees, and so far we don't have that many leaves to worry about in our yard. Most of our trees have been birch for years and their leaves are so small. The neighbor's oak trees end up in our front ditch but husband mows over them a few times and thats about all we do. But we've planted several maples over the years and I can see that we may have caused our own problems going forward.

I'm so happy that you can forget about the leaves for another year. Dennis mowed and mulched yesterday for what we hope will be the final time this fall. We still have one tree with leaves on it, always the last to fall in the neighborhood but I think it will be too wet to do anything about them when they do fall.
Blessings,
Betsy

So funny! I was just thinking about that and looking at firing up our mower for a last blast and then putting it away. Mow and then put up the mowers for the winter...
Leaf your leafs alone! LOL!
