Snow and other stuff

We got some more snow it brought the snow stick up a bit.

Six Inches at the snow stick

Lovely isn’t it.

We have been busy and exhausted.  Far Guy said yesterday “If I croak you will be so bored.”  This was during our second trip to town for the day…usually we go to town once a week…not twice a day.

Men do read instructions, I have proof I caught him reading the instructions to the IV Pump.  They sent a checklist so we should be able to figure it all out between the two of us.  The bill said it would be $ 2,500 weekly …so I hope insurance covers it…yes you read that right a two and a five and two zeros with no decimal point…must be the new and improved affordable care act.

Driveway

The driveway.

We had a thought about ten days ago, we were in the vehicle going for a ride, it was something we should have done before we left the house but we could do immediately when we got home.  Well that was ten days ago and neither of us can remember exactly what it was.  Old age is coming on fast.

We had a long time friend who we were both very fond of.  He carried a little notebook and a pencil in his pocket of his True Value Hardware blue shirt. Now we understand.

Osage store Feb 24

The store in Osage was getting new shingles yesterday.

Yesterday there was a strange bright orb in the sky. I had to wear my sunglasses.

Had to laugh about the "strange bright orb", and also about that thought you forgot.

Wow, I hope the medical bill is covered by insurance too.

My dad always carried a little notebook, too, in his later years. Fortunately for me I have a "notebook" on my phone. I use it often! $2500/week is unimaginable. Fingers crossed!

I always carry a notebook and pen. Can't remember squat these days. That is one hefty price tag on the pump. Sure hope your insurance covers it.

That is ridiculous, that much money being charged for anything. They do have it better in Canada, I hear. You know we sometimes see that strange bright orb too. Today for example, I'll be wearing MY sunglasses too. :-)

That's crazy...hope YOU don't have to foot the bill. I have random pieces of paper in three rooms to jot things down on...it's a horrible thing to waste an afternoon and realize you forgot some important jibe you HAD to do and forgot about it.

Being best friends makes it easier. Hang in there, both of you.

"Affordable Care" my foot! Prices have gone up on everything - premiums, drugs, etc.
It is sickening.

Is that the 'rent' for the pump? Absolutely ridiculous. Oh I know all about acting on thoughts when you have them..... We've seen that strange bright orb for two wonderful days, and it is with us again this morning, unbelievable, and oh so so nice!

We had that strange orb in the sky all day Tuesday but nothing since then hoping for it to appear tomorrow would be nice ! Hope all goes well for you both . Thanks for sharing , have a good day !

I have to write everything down...I have lists for lists, I laugh. But no joke, if I don't write it down I forget! Terry doesn't have to write anything down. Lucky him.

I wonder how much an IV pump costs to buy for goodness sakes! A million dollars! Good Lord!
Snowing over there and melting over here. If I had a stick it would be bare--unless it was stuck in a snowbank.

I always have pen and paper nearby. Used to be because I was a compulsive organizer and list maker who used to have a dozen irons in the fire, but now--with no irons in the fire--it's because I will forget. In fact, nowadays I forget to write things down when I have the paper and pen at the ready--LOL! ;)

We make lists and still don't get it all. We go by our Wallymart every time we head south so it is like our own convenience story.

Yeah, right! Affordable care! For who? (or is that for whom?) Poppy works every single day and was paying for medical insurance for both of us...but for those who work, premiums went way up and care went way down. So last year I got on Medicare. Poppy and I were talking about buying a new picnic table...he said remind me to look on craigslist tonight. Later that night he asked, what were we going to look for on craigslist? I had no idea. It came to some time during the night.

Hope you figure out what that thought was. Would those have been orbglasses you had to wear? A bit of bright orb in the sky this time of year does wonders, doesn't it?

Sadly, the $2500 bill is a result of the drug companies over exuberance for money.

Well, you beat me...Enbrel is a piddly $500 a week and of course I can't afford it so I don't take it as often as I should but it works for me and keeps me out of the poor house. Yes, the drug companies and all the rest of them are greedy. There will be no cruises or trips or anything but I still manage to enjoy my simple life and as long as I can remain independent and self-sufficient, I'm a happy camper! I hope it all works out for you both and a pox on the drug companies!

I keep a calendar hanging near our phone and write appointments etc. on it. Last year I had put a big red star on one day but later forgot why. I still don't know what we missed .

Until we can include negotiating drug prices in the ACA, the costs will continue to rise. It can cost a lot of money to stay alive these days, but the alternative isn't great.

If I don't write it down, I'll forget it! Good luck to you and your hubby on his latest treatments.

Yeah, a little notebook and a pencil...and a pocket so you won't forget where you put them! Totally understandable!
