The vows were said under this arbor on the hillside overlooking the lake.
The sand was mixed symbolizing two lives coming together as one.
It was a beautiful day for a wedding to celebrate a young couple starting their life together. The sun was out and it was about 74 degrees. We all hoped that some of those big fluffy clouds would come over and stay. Everyone fanned themselves with the wedding programs.
It was a lovely ceremony with the Aunts of the Bride singing.
After the ceremony the Ring Bearer and Flower Girl ran off some of their energy.
The signs were all cute, those bales served as seating, some little old ladies brought their own blankies to sit on.
It was a fun afternoon taking photos…perhaps catching some moments that the other photographers missed:)
Love the little ones - they are so cute all dressed up. I bet this was Leah's daughter's wedding. I've been reading about it. Young couples are so creative anymore with their ceremonies.
ReplyDeleteHi Rae, Yes it was. I am sure she will share more when she gets rested up! :)
DeleteOh yes... more Mother of the Bride and Groom to come.... I am surprised how tired you get and it doesn't hit you until a day or two later :) Thank you for the lovely post Far Side!

DeleteNow that sounds like a good idea. Being in the midst of planning the Lad's wedding for next year, the idea of open air and bales of straw is quite attractive.
ReplyDeleteLooks perfect. A beautiful setting and day...:)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos ! Nothing like a country outdoor wedding ! We had ours in our back yard all with the western theme lol ! Congrats to the happy newly wedded couple ! Thanks for sharing . Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteThat must have been such a cool wedding!
ReplyDeleteAdorable outfit, frilly dress with cowboy boots! Or should I say cowgirl boots? My sister got married this past week, too. Must be the season! :-)
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet photos.
ReplyDeleteFor me, candid shots are so much nicer than the posed ones. Good captures.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet wedding.
ReplyDeleteYou captured some wonderful sights. I especially love the last one. The little flower girl in her boots is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteWell. that's a different setting. They all work as the important thing are the promises that are made.
ReplyDeleteSo cute...and I love the "choose a seat and not a side" sign. Amen to that!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous setting - this is the sort of wedding I like.
ReplyDeleteLove the setting, the seating, and the photos of the little ones! I predict the newlyweds will be celebrating this day 50 years down the road.
ReplyDeleteVery Charming...love it all!
ReplyDeleteHow cute are the little ring bearer and flower girl! Love her little dress and cowboy boots!
