Cold here…put another log on the fire! The wind chill is below zero. November in Minnesota can be any kind of weather, I have seen it 70 degrees and –20 degrees. The worst part is the roads, it can rain one minute and be freezing rain the next.
It is a damp cold here as usual until the lake is frozen and we get a little more snow cover.
I heard the Northern Lights were great this week. I thought about going out to see if I could see them…can’t see anything back here in the woods except the sky above your head. So that would involve getting dressed warmly, getting into a cold car and driving out to the cemetery where I can see what is going on…all the while knowing Chance is serenading Far Guy cause I left him behind. It is just easier to stay at home.
I have many projects I am working on. I should make a list…right now I think I will put make a list on my list of things to do.

You are right! All kinds of weather everywhere! It is colder here than I remember for this time of year. No snow but more cold is on the way. I need to get the fireplace ready. Ive got the wood and kindling in but haven't really cleaned the fireplace itself. Stay warm! It was beautiful here yesterday 60 and another today so I will go to Walmart. The trees are really pretty right now but by Thanksgiving we will be barren and drab. Have a good day and I too am a big believer in making lists. I have to go make my grocery list!
It is very strange weather here also. It was 13 degrees with a 4 degree wind chill. Normally our Novembers range from the mid 30's to the low 60's. It is also ver windy and damp. No snow yet, thank goodness. I too need to get started on my winter "to do " list. Have a great weekend.
Oh my. I am far, far south & yesterday & today we have temps in low 60's. We no longer seem to have any winter weather much at all. Last few years we had 1-2 freezes & 4 or 5 frosts. When I was growing up, it was much different. Wouldn't mind having a little snow here.
We've got our usual weather back, no longer freezing cold. I laughed to think of Chance serenading poor Far Guy with you out looking for the Northern Lights. :-)
If I lived in that kind of weather I'd probably never leave the house. Stay warm!

Regarding lists - - - I have put that - - make a list - - actually just this week 0f making a list of what needs to be done before we have birthday dinner here at our house for our daughter and her in-laws. I really do get more accomplished when I do that.
I haven't seen the Northern Lights in years because of the very reasons you describe. It's just easier to stay at home.
It is -19 celsius in Thunder Bay. I'm betting you know what that is in Fahrenheit.
-2 F we had -6 F this morning that is -21C eh:)
I have to do the make a list to make a list thing also...but it does help having the corn in and sold!
The snow and blue sky and sun is pretty though ;-) My son in Edmonton is getting a rude awakening. They have had snow and well below freezing temperatures for the last few weeks. The coldest in 20 years he is telling me. Their first winter there, so if they can survive this one, they will do okay!
It looks cold there, but pretty too! We are supposed to get our first freeze tonight, and be 31 degrees tomorrow morning. I like warm weather! I love your Wistful Wednesday post, and the picture of you and Far Guy.
I have a feeling this winter will be a much colder one. Here in Missouri we have had very mild winters for several years so we are due a cold one. We have already had several freezes and I am getting to that point where my bones feel cold.
I'm a big believer in list making! It feels so good to cross things off your list as it gives you a sense of accomplishment!

It's hard to see Northern lights here in the city. We have seen them several times though.
Your last line made me laugh. The good thing about lists is that you get to cross things off.
Brrr! It's cold out your way. I often think about going outside after dark to look at the moon or stars or whatever but then I think about how chilly it is and I stay inside. Compared to your temps we can hardly call it chilly!
Looks cold! We had lots of Northern Lights here - but it was late at night and I was asleep.
It's hard to think of snow when we are sweltering in hte high 70s and low 80s. Summer is starting to get on my nerves. I would love just a bit of snow. Have a blessed Sunday!
