Leaf report

We have mulched leaves four times and have blown leaves into the woods once.  Gotta love that leaf blower on a windy day…we used the south wind to our advantage.  A few more times and we might be done.

It froze two nights in a row now so soon we can begin to mow down the wild gardens.  Summer is supposed to return this week so we have a list of outside work to accomplish.

Now if all the leaves that remain would just please Fall out of the trees.

  1. I bet the leaves on that tree look like they are glowing when the sun hits. I do miss the fall colors in Minnesota. They are pretty subtle here and don't peak until around Christmas time.

  2. Good job with the leaf blowing. I would have done it yesterday except it was drizzling all day.

  3. Wish I could come get some of your leaves. In our previous house of 37 years, we had wonderful soil due to the leaves that fell & decomposed. This house of 9 years we have pine straw :( Some people love straw but I don't.

  4. Since I haven't heard anything about your hand lately, I'm hoping it's become a non-issue now. Hope your leaves stay where they're wanted. :-)

  5. Thankfully, all of my trees have dropped their leaves; however, the seeds (literally thousands of them) cling to the branches. Sigh!

  6. Yes, supposed to be back in the 60s this week! I was wondering, too, how your hand was doing? Lots better, I hope. :)

  7. Your garden shed looks so neat and with the yellow-leafed tree behind it.

  9. Our oaks are hanging tough and nothing of cold and rain last week while the yard chores remain undone. Maybe this week as the forecast looks good...:)

  10. Our trees are just beginning to color up. We'll be cleaning up well into November.
