I can multi task...as in do laundry and stamp a bunch of cards to watercolor.
The project had a number of stamps.
New stamps that I got for Mother's Day from Jen and Andy.
This one may or may not be a Christmas card...time will tell. This set of stamps were $1 at a garage sale. And one of my favorite stamps of all time.
I love this bouquet of flowers in a mason jar, I can do all kinds of color combinations and I hope when I mail the cards out people feel like I sent them flowers! It was a great rainy day project and kept me out of trouble for the afternoon...I missed my afternoon nap...but I had a morning nap...so there ya go.
Minnesota weather; High 45 F or 8 C eh Low was 38 F or 4 C eh It was a chilly rainy day. What a big change from last week at this time.
Supper was a baked chicken breast on top of a salad (mine will be on a separate plate) and fresh baked bread, raspberries for dessert.
Far Side
Super.
ReplyDeleteThe stamps are great – the bouquet is fantastic.
I hope you have fun making cards – and especially giving and sending them.

Who does the bread baking at your house?
ReplyDeleteMe:)
DeleteWe are having unseasonable cold weather here. Your flower stamp is very pretty, and cozy feeling. I bet it would be nice to paint the actual stamp print with some watercolors too. I have a few stamps, but haven't used them in a while.
ReplyDeleteYou are so creative and patient to do the crafty things you do .. oh, and to bake bread too!
ReplyDeleteWe just got some sourdough bread from one of our folks that stop by. It was delicious!
I like that bouquet and am glad you sent it to me via this post.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!
ReplyDeleteLove the mason jar stamp. Your weather was so warm for a while. Now, it sounds like winter again. I’m not good at multitasking. I neglect one of the endeavors.
ReplyDeleteI missed commenting yesterday. We had the fourth grade grandson after awards day at school. We had LOTS of fun with him!
ReplyDeleteYour Mosaic yarn project is beautiful! I like the crafts you are working on while inside the house due to the weather. Our weather recently did that, too, - - - made us think it was almost summer and as someone said - - winter didn't quite shut the door tightly when it went out and came back in. Our temps were not as cool as yours though.
Food - - we had Chicken stir-fry on Monday and what we call Turkey Taco Pasta Pizza yesterday. Basically ground turkey with taco seasoning that is mixed in Paul Newman Marinara Sauce. The pasta was Barilla GF and it was topped with Italian cheese that was zapped in the microwave to melt it. It is one of Samuel's (grandson) favorite things we cook.
Those stamps look so fun! My daughter used to do a lot of things with stamps, but has now moved onto resin. I wish she'd stuck to the stamps as they are less messy.
ReplyDeleteThe rain is supposed to end this evening for us, and fingers crossed the sun may come out tomorrow.
Crazy weather around here as well...We were in the 90's last week and this week is a lot more pleasant. I enjoy seeing all of your projects...they are so interesting and you amaze with all of your talents...
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the second plate for that combo. I can let some things run together, but ya gotta draw the line somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of piled up food either. Touching is ok, but please don't put hot food on my salad. Take that, fancy restaurant!
ReplyDeleteI like the color options of the flower stamp too.
I love your flowers in the mason jar stamp. Botanical type stamps are my weakness. Looks like you have some fun new ones to play with. :)
ReplyDeleteYour dinner mirrors ours except I am the one okay with meat on a salad. My husband wants the salad in it's very own bowl and whole piece of meat on it's own plate.
ReplyDeleteIt’s been on the chilly side here with fierce winds that also have a sound like Fall. I’ve purchased plants at a good price, but have them in an enclosed patio until I’d June when the temperatures should stabilize. Who doesn’t love flowers in a Mason jar!
ReplyDeleteCold miserable spring here too. It rained all day today.
ReplyDeleteLooking for that heat to return :(
ReplyDeleteAww I love that stamp of flowers in the mason jar. I bet you make that really pretty. It's cold here too and we have gotten no rain.....so dry. Hope we get some soon. Glad you did.
ReplyDeleteCrazy weather but good for baking bread!
ReplyDeleteYour cards are always beautiful. I have one of them with the flowers in the mason jar. It's actually displayed on my desk. We actually had some glimpses of sunshine this morning. They were brief, but it is a nice break from the rain.
ReplyDeleteLet me ask you ... what is your favorite brand of watercolor paints that you feel work best? It's been a few years since I did any myself, so I'm looking for other's insight. I want to go back to doing some watercoloring.
ReplyDeleteI have pencils from Hobby Lobby Faber -Castell and then a set of pans colors Angora opaque ...I like the pencils sometimes and pan sometimes...no favorites:)
ReplyDeleteI like the flowers in the mason jar too! I should try to paint something like that.
ReplyDeleteThose are great projects for our rainy days! Sunny day #2 has arrived, enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy seeing your creativity.
