Mother's Day began out on the patio. It was a beautiful morning that I enjoyed before the really warm weather descended. By afternoon we had 92 F or 34 C eh...but at one point in the afternoon the car said it was 94 F ...anyways it was really warm for the first part of May.
Jen and Sadie arrived just before dark the night before Mother's Day.
Golden Morning.
Sadie busy collecting sticks in the yard. She was very interested in all the smells in our yard, especially where the bear lounged around the other night. Yes we have a steel sculpture of a small bear in the old flower bed.
After playing ball and a swim in the lake!
Jen helped me do some things around the house...stuff where I have to crawl up a step stool to clean. She crawls up a step stool better than I do.
We went to our favorite Mexican place for a delicious lunch. It was a wonderful day spent with Jen and Sadie! (Andy is at the World's Vex Tournament in Dallas...and we missed him)
Far Side
Dat klinkt als een heel gezellige dag! (maar o wat warm!)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a very pleasant day! (but oh so hot!)
DeleteSadie is such a pretty dog, I always enjoy seeing her so happy.
ReplyDeleteSadie must love exploring at your house. So many new wildlife smells. How nice that Jen will come and help with those chores.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a perfect day!
ReplyDeleteYou had a wonderful day with two lovely ladies who were great company and helpful!
ReplyDeleteI bet Sadie loved being in the country. It’s double trouble climbing because sometimes “head swimming” starts once you’ve climbed up there. 🧗
ReplyDeleteYou had a fabulous day! How could it not be fabulous when it had both Jen and Sadie.
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice Mother's Day you had! I can't believe your temps! It was 72 here at the warmest.....50's at night. Jen and Sadie...what great company!
ReplyDelete92 F ! that's hot. I think I'm sending you some rain. It's raining here today.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to be able to spend the day with your daughter and Sadie!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to spend Mother's Day with Jen and Sadie. Lots of help from Jen and Sadie looks like she had a blast exploring "out in the country". We're supposed to hit the 90's this week too. We've had the A/C running for almost a week during the day but at night it's been cool enough and low humidity so we could open the windows. I dread when we have to have things shut up all of the time. The birds sound so happy in the mornings right now.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
It was 94 here the other day. But its supposed to be in the 70's tomorrow for a day so tht will be nice.
ReplyDeleteMy but you have HOT temperatures!! I think there was one day here that I didn't wear a cardigan. And...my days of getting up on a step stool are definitely over too :)
ReplyDeleteHope Andy enjoys his vex tournament...we live about a hundred miles from Dallas. This temp seems really warm for you all....Our weekend was rather cool and not anything like May usually brings us. I know you sure enjoyed your time with Jen and Sadie...what a wonderful blessing...BTW...I just came from the Post Office and what a lovely card I had there waiting for Sam and I. I am framing it !! Thank you so much Connie...you are such a special person with a ton of talents...
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good day; you deserve it!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a good Mother's Day, simple, pleasant, and with people/dog you love.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great thing to have someone who can climb your stepstool for you! My friend's children and grandchildren spent Mother's Day spreading all her mulch. Another great idea!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that you had a great Mother's Day. I did too. Glad it hasn't gotten that hot here. Yikes. Getting cold again in about four days.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet Sadie LOVED EVERY MINUTE!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat Jen is such a blessing! A perfect Mother's Day with Jen and Sadie. :)
