I had a horrid abscess on my shoulder. I have been fighting it for quite some time. Uffda it was a smelly oozing mess. I apologize to anyone who may have hugged me and thought I was rotting away or had not bathed in days. We finally covered it with a Clearasil pad and sealed it up with tape because I was so over being a stinky mess...every time I used my shoulder it would ooze....nasty...nasty.
Long story short the Doctor made a number of incisions and packed it. She gave Far Guy instructions and a tutorial on how to pack it again in 24 hours and I am on antibiotics.
My shoulder is sore but I will live to see another day or maybe two.
That was enough for a Monday.
The Lilacs are pretty much past bloom.
Sounds like a sebaceous cyst, eh? I have one that flares up on occasion (like once every 12-18 months) and when it does I need antibiotics too. My doctor told me I need to go to a dermatologist who can permanently remove it, so it doesn't come back again. It hurts like the devil, doesn't it? UGH! Glad you got professional help with yours, Connie. I hope you find relief soon. ~Andrea xoxo
Sorry to hear about your abscess. Praying it clears up real soon. We had a bad thunderstorm last night - many lost power. Today and tomorrow we are under a sever heat advisory.
I am so sorry! That sounds awful. I hope your home care nurse manages well!

Ouch! Glad it's been seen and that you're on antibiotics.
Pretty lilacs. The lilacs in our area are not doing much this year. Karen
I am so sorry. I know how miserable those things are. I haven't had one but several family members have and they were miserable too. I'm glad you saw a doctor and got it taken care of. I'll be praying that it will heal well and quickly.
Ouch! I hope this heals quickly for you. You're at least a couple of weeks behind us, the lilacs have been gone at least that long. We are under a heat advisory today, it is windy. That helps. Take it easy.
Does not sound pleasant...I hope it goes away soon...soreness and all.
Gosh! That sounds awful for you and very painful. I hope you heal quickly now
Oh my, that does not sound pleasant. I hope that it heals quickly.
Goodness. Those run in hubby's family. His sister had one that seeped...ewwwww all the time 'til she had surgery.
Hubby has them but I guess they don't much bother him until a doctor decides to do some surgery on it.
Hope the pain goes away quickly.
Those are nasty. I hope it clears up quickly.
Ow, I bet that was painful! I am so glad you went to the doctor. Rest today and hopefully you are much more comfortable.
Lilacs go too fast. I hope your abscess does too.
Oh, that sounds horrible! I hope this will do the trick for you and you'll be done with it! Sorry you have had to endure all that.
That sounds painful and unpleasant. Hope you are getting some relief from the treatment. Your lilacs are lovely... ours are long gone.
Sorry to hear about your shoulder, that definitely does not sound fun.
Lilacs are pretty much done here too... except my Bloomerang.. it's got a couple small spikes still blooming on it.
Bloody hell that sucks
Sounds like a good thing you got that taken care of. Hope it heals up well.
Pretty lilacs. I miss ours. I transplanted an offshoot of my favorite one, and purchase a new lilac last year. No blooms yet. Maybe next year I'll get more than leaves.
Oh, my, what a misery to endure! I hope that you are doing much better soon.❤️
Linda R said it perfectly!!
That sounds like an experience you would be happy not to have. Hope it heals up soon.
Ouch. Sounds like your shoulder needed some work. Sure hope it heals now and everything goes well for you. Thank goodness Far Guy the Nurse, is there to help you! Get well soon!
Abscess sounds horrible. Hope this takes care of it.
Sorry you're having to deal with that. Hope it heals up quickly.
My mother would scrape raw potato into a pulp and place it on there. Yours is more serious than that. Get better!!!!
Ouch! I hope it heals fast! Beautiful lilacs...my favorite.
