New Project

One thing leads to another...first you buy an instructional workbook...then the supplies ...and then the containers to store the new found supplies.   This time it is in a tube watercolors.  Before I have used pan watercolors and dual brush watercolors....so it is different.

Oh well it has been a long winter that is getting longer.

Far Guy had a good infusion nurse with good aim so only one stick...thank goodness.

Far Guy speaks with his sister and her family daily, there are no big changes although he said she looked like she was in more pain yesterday as she kept rubbing her head.

Your new project looks like fun. Glad Far Guy had a good nurse this time. Stay safe and warm.

That might be the sort of thing that I could be interested in. I've tried watercolors but just made a drippy mess. I am fascinated by them anyway.

I'm so sorry that FG's sister is in pain. :(

You are so good at finding things to fill your day. Often I sit, and my mind tumbles around all day.

I took a basic watercolor class before (you know). I would love to go back but right now our senior center has thrown caution to the winds. They have been maskless for many months and the outdated building has tiny rooms where we sat crammed in with 6-8 at a table. So That is on the back burner for a while.

Glad to hear you found a "one stick wonder"! Prayers for comfort for Far Guy, Sister and Families.

Enjoy your tube watercolors, Connie. My youngest daughter loves them. Continuing to keep Far Guy's sister in my prayers. ~Andrea xoxoxo

You are keeping yourself young with all the new things you do as well as staying active and engaged in daily activities and hobbies you enjoy! You are an encouragement to many as we see you 'seize the day'. It is probably too cold to be outside but next time you are out and about and see a beautiful "winter wonderland", you should grab a pic for some in the south who fantasize that winter environment. That would not be me. I had enough of it living in upstate NY for about 20 years. I love that you post the realities of winter (those roads for one) - - - and you not only survive it but make the most of it.

I did a little with watercolors many years ago (but more a paint by number kit) and I think you will have fun with this. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

Yay for just one stick for Far Guy! I'm so glad he is able to see and speak with his sister online. The water colors look like fun. You have many different talents and I enjoy seeing your art work. Have fun!

That will be a fun new project for you. I bet you will be off, combining water colors with your stamps and creating some new cards very soon. I prefer the pan watercolors and I’ll be interested to see how you like your tubes.

I'm so glad Far Guy gets to Face Time with his sister every day and also that it was a 1-stick day! I love your new supplies! I was just watching Shayda Campbell watercolor podcasts and talking to my daughter about which watercolors to get etc. She made it look so easy...which I'm sure it isn't. Good luck to you and enjoy!

Good news, just one stick. JB's had three in the past. Small veins and all.

I have always wanted to be able to paint but I just wasn't given that talent. I do however, enjoy seeing all of the things that my lovely blog friends paint with their amazing talents.
I'm very happy for Far Guy that he didn't have to endure lots of pokes today. Yay for that great nurse! My heart goes out to him and his family as they love on and support his sister in these hard days. May they all feel Gods loving hand on them.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy

Another fun activity. I am glad to hear the infusion went well this week, and hope that FG's sister is comfortable during this time.

It's always a big plus when you have a nurse who knows her stuff! Yay that FG got one of those!! For ten years poor Jerry had to be stuck monthly, and many times, twice monthly, so his veins are permanently blown ... way too many uneducated nurses trying to poke him. Because of all that, now they can only do PICC lines whenever anything like that is necessary. Made me feel awful what they put him through. We were both glad when the doctors finally changed some of his meds and we didn't have to take him anymore. Thank goodness! //mKeeping up the prayers for FG's sister!! God love her and hold her to Him!!

I LOVE tube watercolors! Have fun!!! I'm so sorry about FarGuy's sister. It must be excruciating for all of them to watch her slowly fade. I think of them often.

New projects are fun. Watercolors can be fun working with transparent washes and unlimited color mixing.

I love watercolor/s. I am not very good with them. I am a blender and find them tricky.
