Projects

This week I have some cards on my desk.

I got a new stamp.  Ordered it off the Internet.

ladyslipper Card

It makes a lovely card.

On my desk

I love my Prismacolor pencils…and my metallic watercolors and my Spica markers! Fun stuff to work with.  I got some new Metallic Colored Pencils…they are pretty cool too.

Lady slipper for Leslie

Here is the other painting project. It is for a friend…Far Guy is trading it for a bunch of dental bits that he can use in his Dremel tool.

Yesterday I got three more kitchen drawers/cabinets cleaned…11 out of 28 are done.  Progress is slow.

It is cold here…bitterly cold…damp…it snowed and blew over the roads and made the roads icy last night coming home from Bingo with my Dad…he got to holler Bingo just once…me not at all.  One away …one away…

  3. Love the new stamp and the Lady Slipper. Your weather sounds an awful lot like ours, just less snow. At least you are keeping busy. Have a safe and good weekend.

  4. We got almost an inch of rain yesterday while we were hiking. It was, in a word, wet. Love the stamp and the lady slipper carving. I haven't played Bingo in ages and figure I'll save it for my old age. :-)

  5. The Lady Slipper stamp is perfect for Minnesota! And FG's carving with your painting is great, also!
Very nice border for the stamped area on the card.

  8. I love your cards and still have the sled and snowman cards out on display; after all, winter seems to be hanging on and on. Windy, dreary, and cold this morning. Love the Lady Slippers!

  9. I rearrange my studio in the basement yesterday and have more walking space. I am now tossing things that I could have done earlier. I think the guy who is giving Far Guy tool bits had better be giving a full bucket full of them as the sculpture is worth a lot of money. Your cards are so great to see. I can see how you enjoy creating them when you get such a wonderful result.

  10. My card days have been over, I can't even call myself a Hobbyist
any more. My blog is the last and I can't keep that interesting.
( I think I am feeling a little sorry for self today)

  11. When is it ever going to warm up? It's minus 12 today with a wicked southeast wind.

  12. Love your new card and that carving looks like a museum piece! What talent you both have and how nice you can enjoy it in your retirement. That is good progress with the cabinets. We started cleaning out a closet Wednesday and we still are not done. (we were out yesterday though) Still, I thought we could get a closet done in one day but this was a spare one with boxes of letters and albums and such to be sorted. One day at a time - right?

  13. Your cards are so pretty! I used one of your cards a few weeks ago. The one with all the deer across the horizon. It was perfect.

  14. Photos of your work make me itchy to do some more creative art projects. I used to do more, but started writing and teaching and never got back to my painting, etc. Love your blog.

  15. The lady slipper carving and stamp are great! With your never ending winter, it's good that you have fun projects as well as the not so fun cleaning out jobs.

The new stamp is lovely and so is the card you made using it.

  20. That is a beautiful stamp. I have yet to dig mine out and play. Now there's yard work to boot! See why I prefer snow? It allows me to stay in and get more Spring Cleaning done....winter is way too short here! LOL! Glad someone got a Bingo! Your turn is coming....stay warm and safe on those roads!
