Almost Normal

We are almost back to normal.  After having a bad cold for a week I am finally feeling better and have refrained from one of those healing naps for a whole day now.

I have  been enjoying the colorful dreams I was having..fever induced no doubt..I won jackpots at the casino, I was robbed in a casino, I was aboard a pontoon that was racing around during an art festival that was projecting it’s art in such a beautiful array of colors on the mirror like surface of a lake, and I went swimming with a whole bunch of dead relatives ( they weren’t dead and swimming but alive and swimming), I smoked a whole pack of cigarettes, I got a new job as a nanny for “19 kids and counting”..and poor Jim Bob had a heart attack.  I was in a war and hiding behind some kind of bullet proof curtain that was blue..except I forgot to cover up my feet ( I had a charley horse).  I could not for the life of me remember where I lived, someone asked me..I could not remember..I asked Far Guy and he wouldn’t tell me cause I should know..well I didn’t..really made me angry so I started to cry and woke up.  And that was just part of one night and what I can remember.  I am a fairly active dreamer when I am ill.

Far Guy had a Colonoscopy the other day..he says he will never be able to drink Gatorade ever again.  They snipped off and lassoed some polyps.  He is recovering nicely most likely due to the excellent care that he has been receiving by Chance and me! He has been having peanut butter withdrawal..and I think Chance has joined him in the throes of that withdrawal.  Today will be a good day for them because they are off of a restricted diet.  The 24 hours that Far Guy spent on a liquid diet was hell..he said even the dog food smelled good..now that is bad.

I have a mountain of laundry to conquer because it has been over a week since I washed clothes..and a week has passed without dusting or scrubbing floors. I need to disinfect a whole bunch of hard surfaces and get out a new toothbrush. I will have a busy day.

Feb 23 snow

We got some new snow.  Better late than never..and we are supposed to have a winter storm coming in over the weekend.  Good thing we can stay home this weekend and hunker down and get caught up:)

Glad Far Guy's colonoscopy is over. I hate that screening but it's better than dying of colon cancer.

Glad to hear you are feeling better, too. Sounds like you could do a fantasy fiction book using your dreams for a source.

These dreams are very interesting. I guess it's the brain cells distracting you while the body heals.

Stay warm and may you both heal quickly.

Just because you are feeling better don't go and over-do it....those naps are still a good idea:) Glad you are better.

I have strange and colorful dreams like that, too, and I'm not even sick. Yes, glad that colonoscopy is done for the next ten (or five) years! I'm due in a year or three. And glad you are almost back to normal! :-)

Well someone has been busy dreaming...that's a pretty wide range of things to go through. Glad to hear that all are feeling better, when it's the dog food that is smelling good, things need to improve.

And I thought *I* had weird dreams! I think you've topped mine! Glad both of you better! I hate that "c" procedure!

Oh,it's soooo great to hear you're feelin' better but please don't overdo before ya completely recover. Ya hear??? Don't make me come up there!!! Heeehehehehe!

I have very vivid dreams (usually involuin' mafia and lots of guns) when my temp is normal. It's unreal the dreams I have with a fever!!! I could shoot action movies.

God bless and have a great weekend sweetie...hunker down...stay safe!!! :o)

Boy, those hippies have nothing on you, and you didn't have to buy drugs to get those dreams! Glad you and hubby are feeling better. Have a good weekend.

I have noticed that as I have gotten older, my dreams in general have gotten more vivid and outlandish. Glad you are feeling better. I found your blog through a comment you left on Muddy Boot Dreams and am a new follower.

So glad to hear you have recovered, that Far Guy has recovered and Chance can get back to his normal diet and not worry about his dinner geting pinched.

Glad you're feeling better! And so sorry to hear about Far Guy's episode with the doctor. I had that procedure once and never again. I had drank and drank and mind you I'm a "sipper" I couldn't guzzle anything if my life depended on it. Then when I went to the hospital they said I had to drink another 1/2 gallon or so. I don't remember the colonoscopy itself (thank you Lord!) but I will always remember all the drinking and trips to the bathroom. I think that is up there with "water-boarding" so I won't be doing it again. I had an all-clear too it was the medicine some other stupid doctor had me on....now I just stay away...no more of their stupid tests. I'll die someday anyway so unless I'm in pain or know something is wrong I stay away from them. But since they found something with Far Guy he'll probably have to go back every so often...sorry Far Guy. But really glad they got them and you're on the mend! Don't get me wrong..I can see today because of a wonderfully talented surgeon and the grace of God but on the other hand, I've learned not to go looking for trouble! LOL!

Glad you're feeling better! As Nezzy said, don't over-do! Aren't dreams interesting? I always try to figure out why I have such dreams--and it's always tied to emotional content. A fascinating subject, dream interpretation.

I hope you didn't end up using that toothbrush to disinfect all those hard surfaces ;)

Glad to hear you are feeling better!

So those dreams could give you posts for weeks! Hope Far Guy recovers well from the colonoscopy. They aren't fun. I don't envy you getting behind with all the jobs.

Glad your cold is more or less gone. Mine not totally yet, but almost I think. I'm with you on the dreams, although I didn't need the cold to have mine.
Glad Far Guy had the colonoscopy in time to catch those nasty polyps. I remember waking up from mine thinking that it was the best sleep I'd ever had. And then I remembered the embarrassment of having my next door neighbour as the anesthesiologist for that procedure:(

I love the art display on the surface of the water--cool! I quit smoking in 1989 but I still occasionally smoke in my dreams. ;) I have wild dreams all the time and don't have to be sick. But I do have some pretty wild pain dreams where I incorporate the body complaints into my dreams. They are sometimes quite unsettling.

Glad FarGuy is better and can eat peanut butter again. Hope you are completely well by now, too. :)

I am so sorry you were sick - - - sounds like really sick for a few days. That's what happens when I play 'catch-up' - - - I have missed some stuff. I already read the more current posts and am thankful your husbands results were good.
Your dreams were funny. Don't you hate though when you can't seem to escape from the places where you don't want to be in slumber land?
