Seasonal

As I picked up a bag of Halloween candy for the hoards of ghosts and goblins that will come our way I wondered how quickly Halloween will be replaced by Christmas…or will the aisles ajoin each other like at Menards where they have full Christmas aisles right next to the Halloween decorations.  I haven’t even had a Turkey Dinner yet! (Truth be told I did wander down that aisle and checked out the Shiny Brites but they had no new/old designs.)

Far Guy has a bad cold…seasonal maybe.  But I think it has morphed into a bacterial infection so he has started on antibiotics.  With Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency every lung infection is a big deal.  I watch him carefully and boss him around.  Drink more water…then he acusses me of wanting him to drink so much water he vomits…argumentative is a good sign.

On my desk it is Christmas as the making of the Christmas Cards continue on and on and on.  I need about 120 cards each one a work of art with lots of sparkle.

Christmas cards

The watercolor paper is stamped with a design and then colored with Prismacolor pencils and various colored markers and then embellished with glitter glue. I work on them in the evenings while watching TV.

So very sorry FG has a cold. Hope the meds heal him quickly. We only have the one little girl from next door to trick or treat....I know better than to buy a bag of candy! lol
Your cards are so beautiful. That sounds like a fun project for the long, cool evenings. You guys take care and Hi to Chance. Love your header.

I like your cards, especially the old-fashioned bright red sled. We went to the hardware store yesterday (small, local) and there they were, making a whole aisle of Christmas display right down the middle of the store. I would like to enjoy Halloween and Thanksgiving first. But I guess they don't "sell" as much stuff. Hope Far Guy responds quickly to the antibiotics and feels better.

Poor Far Guy. I hope his cold gets better soon. He needs someone to boss him around in order to get better, so it's a good thing he's got you. I saw my first Christmas commercial on TV the other day and at Costco all the decorations and trees are out already. Sigh. It's too early, I think. But I love your pretty cards. :-)

My hubby is a coughing maniac the past two weeks. Driving me nuts but he is on medicine so hopefully it will go away soon. I am sure his end of it is worse than mine. Lovely card. I haven't even thought about cards for Christmas yet. I may make just one and copy it for the rest. We will see. It sure would save some time, lol... hugs, lj

Have a blessed day.

Your friends and family are fortunate: not only do they receive handcarved ornaments but handmade cards, too. I ❤️ that.

So sorry FarGuy is sick! Hope he is feeling better fast now with the antibiotics.

I can tell those cards are gorgeous even without seeing them close up. Coloring in stamps in front of the TV is a nice way to spend the longer evenings. Yes, once Halloween arrives it seems that things just move along so quickly and next thing you know it is New Years!

I hear they have a snowstorm watch for Grand Forks tonight. Winter is coming. ;)

I am so sorry about the respiratory thing. It has to be covered with antibiotics no matter what. My wife's heart condition almost always causes things to into a major cold and major coughing for more weeks than normal.

My grandson, Grayson is the same way..if he gets any cold or respiratory issue it developes really fast into an ER occasion...scary for all involved. He gets to the point where his little heart is racing and he can't breathe. He has medicine he takes and a breathing treatment at night but despite all that he's a little ball of fire! LOL! I hope he outgrows it and I hope Far Guy is on the mend.
I love your cards! Do you do the stamping or do the cards come stamped already? I didn't know there were stamps of entire scenes. Where do you get them? That looks like so much fun too on top of the fact that they're gorgeous!

Your cards are a true gift to those who are fortunate to receive them. And Far guy is fortunate to have a lovingly bossy wife.

Yes there are scenes as stamps, this is a small one but there are larger ones, next years stamp is larger than this one. Hobby Lobby has stamps and I bet you can find a few online.
Poor Grayson...I hope he outgrows it too! :)
