Sunday was baking/creating day. Maddie came over with the Greats.
Maddie made peanut butter blossoms, a chocolate chip/Reeses cookie and then Bugles with some almond bark and a M &M...I think it was supposed to look like a Grinch hat:)
Andy made truffles, pretzels with a Hersheys kiss and an M&M...one night last week we did the pretzels with a Rolo candy and a pecan on top.
I got to feed Baby K. She got really mad at me when her bottle was done...her mood goes from okay to screaming crisis mode just like that. No whining or fussing...just screaming!
She is very focused on her Mother's voice and her siblings make her giggle. She had a bubble bath and afterwards I clipped her fingernails while she was asleep!
I can report that Maddie put an undershirt on the child!!
It was a chilly day. High was 6F or -14C low was 3F or -16C
Supper was a bacon cheeseburger, french fries and a chocolate shake...Andy is one heck of a cook!
Happy 46th Anniversary to my other baby brother and she who sees robins first!
Far Side
So many delicious things, and baby K, he's going to be quite something, with a mind of his own!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your brother's 46th birthday.
Oh what I'd love would be a big bacon cheese burger with fries and a salad. MMMM. I need a cook!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful day!
Shortly after 8AM on my patch of E.Ontario. I can report the temperature is 0, yes, ZERO, Farenheit! My poor dog was trying to be a ballerina when I tossed her out to pee. Cold on those poor old tootsies./
ReplyDeleteSo many yummy goodies! My little Ollie had that kind of reaction when her bottles were gone, too. Some just know exactly what they want. :)
ReplyDeleteBaby K is a cutie! She also sounds like she wants what she wants when she wants it. Might be a personality trait she carries throughout her life.
ReplyDeleteThe goodies sound delicious! D has pretty much finished the baking here, though I'll have to make a batch of shortbread before Christmas. It is a tradition around here.
Stay warm!
Cute baby even though she has screaming fits! 😊 Supper sounds delicious and so do the baking treats. No pictures of finished goodies?? I am way behind on Christmas baking this year. Too many doctor appointments, although not quite as many as you and Far Guy. Only 5 this week, 3 in one day. Praying Far Guy can gain strength and weight now that his treatments are done. RHill, TX
ReplyDeleteI am surprised I am the first to post today. Love the picture of Baby K. She sounds like she will be quite able to hold her own with her older siblings. We have been having cold weather but not cold at all compared to yours. We're mostly in the 20s and 30s. I have supplies on hand to make a few Christmas cookies but I haven't started yet.
ReplyDeleteShe is giving someone an intense stare!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun! Fun! Day!!!
ReplyDeleteBaby K looks all bundled up and in a good mood here. This is a good kind of day. Baking and spending time with family. Sometimes I feel like screaming (just like baby K)... lol..
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty baby. One of our granddaughters was like that - going from calm to screaming in 2 seconds.
ReplyDeleteLots of goodies made!
ReplyDeleteShe's a cutie pie, screaming aside--lol! ;)
I started my baking today, but now I am concerned that we might lose power when the atmospheric river hits tomorrow. Always something.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a lot of delicious sounding goodies!!!
ReplyDeleteAll of those treats have my mouth watering..and I want something sweet - and we have NOTHING sweet in the house
ReplyDeleteI'm coming to Andy's house for dinner. That's one of my favorite meals and I don't indulge often at all. I haven't had a shake since early last summer.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a wonderful time of baking and togetherness. I can just hear Baby K in my mind. Babies are not shy at letting their feeling known. :-)
Blessings,
Betsy
I love holiday baking with family! It sounds like you had a lovely time. My annual "girls' baking weekend" is coming up this weekend, and I'm so excited. It's the one time of year that we're guaranteed to get to spend the weekend together and reconnect with each other from our busy lives.
