Day After Christmas!

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we had great food; smoked ribs, potato salad, cornbread and fruit....it was all delicious.

Christmas Eve Day Andy wanted to learn how to make my potato salad...so we did it together and he did a thing! Complete with photos and everything!

The Grands and Great Grands will have it as long as there is an Internet!

Today (Friday) Far Guy has his weekly Infusion.  Not sure what I will do...read in the car most likely.

Minnesota weather; Freezing drizzle with a high of 30F or -1C and low of 15F or -9C.

  1. Reading in the car is way too cold...
Isn't it warmer in the waiting room?
Regardless, I hope you have a nice day.

    1. Too many germs in the waiting rooms vs no germs in the car!

  5. That looks really yummy Connie. We are in for absolute misery today here in E.Ontario. It is -22C as I type. It;s going to warm up a wee bit and bring in heavy snow and freezing rain. I'm worried about my grandies driving west of Toronto through the worst of it. :(

  6. Your potato salad recipe probably goes a lot further than you think when it's put on line.

  7. I'm exhausted and burnt out and over-whelmed and did I say exhausted. I'm too old, now to host anymore.

    1. Those were MY comments on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Being 86 is hard work enough!

  10. We had good eating too, as you see on my post. Today is slower and more restful.

  11. It sounds like you were well fed at Christmas!
Your potato salad is much like my mom's, but I'm sure the added half and half makes it very creamy. Delicious!

  13. I wouldn't touch potato salad until I was around 20. I was not fond of mayo. Then, I became a bit more adventurous with my food choices, and now I adore potato salad. Your recipe sounds wonderful. You use more eggs than I do, and I use Duke's or Hellman's Mayo. Some time I'll need to get Miracle Whip and try your version. Thanks for sharing, and the Grands and littles are lucky to have the training and recipe.

  15. Good eats! Brad also smoked ribs for our annual family Christmas Eve. Served with Cheesy Potatoes, Mac-n-Cheese, Coleslaw, and Roasted Veggies.

I also made Hummus for the first time. My 5 yr old granddaughter said she didn't like it, she looooved it!! Not once, but twice. Made my day :))

  16. LD...My wife use to make great potato salad. We don't have enought people to eat it anymore. It is one of my favorite foods and one tbsp. of sugar doesn't bother me. The carbs do but I don't eat so much.
