Snow

We got some fresh snow.
Snow Angels
Busy week…had friends over for supper….we cooked ribs, baked potato, corn and squash.  We don’t entertain too often…and I think they may be better cooks than we are!  We had lamb when we were invited to their place for supper…our first time eating lamb and it was really good.
To town to do errands three days… I worked on Christmas Card envelopes. We ordered some “stuff” that we needed from Amazon.
So far Christmas decorating is at a stand still. Time seems to go by faster everyday.

  1. Oh I love this !!! I laughed at Jinx in the snow as soon as I saw this.
I took part of my chair and stuff down yesterday and re-arranged it.
Town errands stink when you have other things to do, but I get it. I had errands yesterday also.

  2. No doubt, time does go faster every day. It's unbelievable! That snow picture made me laugh. Hard to believe, but we are supposed to get snow on Saturday. Some of the local groceries stores are already out of milk and bread. No wonder Northerners laugh at us Southerners! :)

  3. I love Jinx in the snow. Can I borrow him to keep the snow away from here?

  4. I was scurrying to get up all the decorations I could before a trip out of state on the 1st. I got about 1/2 way. Now I have reached the point of thinking - maybe less is more.

  5. Thank you for your sweet card you sent me. You are a good friend, too, and I appreciate all that you do for everyone in your wheelhouse. (I just learned the meaning of that word and it fits her perfectly.) :-)

  8. Your dinner sounds wonderful! Yes, the days to fly by. My thought is, if the decorations get done that’s great, if they don’t, that’s OK too. Blessings, Betsy

  10. Busy days does interrupt the Christmas decorating. My wife is in a middle of a painting for a commission so everything is on hold for group work. I do some stuff without her but she doesn’t like if she can’t help. We are back to no snow but lots of cold air from the north.

  11. I love the picture of Jinx making snow angels! We keep having one snow after another here but luckily most of them have not been too bad. I understand time speeding by! All the holiday preparations just turn the days into a blur. And then I always end up making at least one gift at the last minute.

  12. Okay it's not the food. It's the good company you enjoy.

  13. I always feel stressed and pressured when I'm cooking for someone that I think is a better cook. My Aunt for example, is a gourmet cook and much of what I cook for us are from her recipes but I don't think I can cook her stuff when she's coming to dinner...so there's always a bit of pressure there.

  14. We may get some snow on the weekend according to the weatherman. No doubt many will have neglected to put winter tires on and any number of fender-benders will result.

  15. We don't entertain much, and that's when I decide to try a new recipe, and then find I don't have all the ingredients. I wing it with what I can substitute and there hasn't been a failure yet, lol. It's good to have company once in a while, it makes you see things in your house that need cleaning up and sorting out. Speaking for myself of course ;-)

  16. We hardly ever centenarian except immediate family. I am hosting two events in the coming weeks that will have me busy. I tend to fret and over prepare.
