Wistful Wednesday: Midway Memories

Last summer my baby brothers best friend stopped by.  It was good to see him!  At one point he worked for Far Guy’s parents.  I asked him if he had any old photos that he could share with us.  A few weeks later I got them by email.

This was 1973 or 1974.  In 1973 we were stationed in Florida so Far Guys parents had to hire some help.

We were thrilled to see these old photos of the family business.  If you want to read more about our Midway Memories Here is a link to the first story in the series.

Your series on Midway Memories opened a world to me that I knew nothing about. Fascinating. Thank you.

I'm glad you inquired about the photos and that he took the time to find and send them to you.

One can never have enough photos of those who are no longer with us. So glad you received them!

I had forgotten about the cranes until you started sharing them. They were a whole lot more fair in retrieving things than the ones in restaurants today. I never one anything on them though but kept shelling out the quarters to try, try again. I did see people winning on those machines.
