This cheerful little flower is blooming now among the Oaks, it is a spring ephemeral.
As the sunshine reaches the forest floor Hepatica sends up it’s flowers before they are shaded out by the trees. I think this one is the Sharp-Lobed Hepatica. It is a plant Native to Minnesota.

So delicate, even the color. Welcome, spring!
Spring has come even to Minnesota! A lovely little sprite. Thanks for sharing it. :-)
How precious and delicate it is...so sweet!
I always love when you share MN wildflowers!
I love spring and the shinny new faces that pop up!
So delicate and yet so hardy to rush forth before the leaves are out. :)
It is a wonderful wildflower. I don't think I have seen anything like it before now.
Natural areas are loaded with flowers if we look for them.
A pretty little wildflower. Easy to miss if one didn't slow down and pay attention.
Pretty little flowers aren't they ?! We have had rain for three days straight and it has been damp and chilly to , finally getting sunshine as of tomorrow and the rest of the week good for the gardens that's for sure ! Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !
I do so love the little spring ephemerals! I guessed that it was a hepatica when I saw it. Lovely!
Hepatica are so pretty. Ours have bloomed and disappeared except for a few leaves here and there. Do you have Mayapples in your area? They are showy this year in our area but past their peak.
