Leaves

The leaves from our Burr Oaks just turn brown and fall off.   They are about 75% down.  I have mulched twice and maybe a third or fourth time will be needed.

We have a little color along the driveway.

Most likely a Northern Red Oak.

I am painting Christmas Ornaments, Far Guy wood carved.  It was a very nice day!

Minnesota weather: High 71F or 22C  Low was 42F or 6C.

Prayer Warriors:  Prayers for our Sister in law Beth as she struggles with side effects of Myasthenia Gravis.  Prayers for Brother in law Ron in Indiana who had surgery for Bladder Cancer.

  2. We drove to Sioux Falls yesterday for grandson's football game, and saw similar color changes happening. It was gorgeous here too, with no wind. I love fall.

  3. Wishing Beth and Ron improved health.
Many of our trees are bare but we do still have some colour to enjoy.

  5. For you the song fits: :The leaves of brown come tumbling down in September."

  6. I will remember these two in my prayers.

One of the places Laura wilder lived was called Burr Oak. We don’t have that kind of oak here.

I’m mowed leaves once. Oak leaves fall last here.

  8. (Prayers)
We took a ride out to the Amish today and all our trees are green green green. I was a little disappointed. They are taking corn off the fields and beans look almost ready.

  10. Prayers for your family! It always helps to know that people will pray without ceasing like the Bible says to do!
It's beautiful with a breeze and the smell of fall!
