Book Club January

We had book club on Thursday afternoon.  We read The Measure by Nikki Erlick.   I thought it would be a much better book that it was, I give it a five out of ten stars.  It was a struggle for me to finish it...but I finally just sat down and read until I finished it.  I just hate books that are hard to get through.  I would not recommend the book to anyone.  I passed it along to  Jen as it is a pick for her book club later this winter.   I can hardly wait to hear what they say about it.

Friday I caught up with laundry and cleaned our bathroom.  I have several projects I am working on...crochet projects ...I think I have four projects going at one time...

It was frosty again.

Ohhhh love the frost!
I dislike hard to read books. They put me right to sleep, but that is not a bad thing.

Looks like we will have frost this morning!

That's a book I think I will skip. Pretty frosty trees!

WoW, four projects at the same time is amazing. That would make me dizzy. ;) Hope you enjoy a great day!

What a pretty photo! I have several projects going too, but trying to concentrate on my sweater first.
Stay warm.

Good thing there is another book club to pass the book to, I think it would be interesting to see what they think of it too. Karen

We are also frosty. I had trouble getting through the last book. I felt I was that far I might as well.

Bad books and bad series of mysteries on Brit Box that just don't cut it. Sometimes it is best to stop and find something else.

It is helpful to know which books to avoid!

On the best seller list...but boring. Humm. Critics are not always right. Sometimes it's all in the promotion. They even promote it as a good book club book! Be interesting to hear what the other book club thinks of it. ;)

When you get tired of working on one project you can always work on a different one. Good plan.

I hate a book that's dull as dishwater to read. I am reading The Missing Ones right now and it started out that way but I can hardly stop reading now. Can't wait to see what happens next.

I read at least one book a week, but have resisted joining any book clubs. I guess I am too picky in my old age and, by gosh, I want to pick my own books! I feel like a kid skipping school when I donate a book without finishing it, but it is a good feeling!!

It used to be that any book I was reading, I completed it. Not now. If I don't get into the book right away, I quit.

I Googled the book and skimmed a review. The premise of the story just sounds off to me. I'll skip it.

That's too bad about the book. One can never have too many craft projects.
