Puzzling

Christmas Eve a puzzle went on my desk.  Jen and Andy worked really hard at it…the boys even helped find a few pieces. It is still there, we wander by and put in a few pieces here and there.  It is a very difficult puzzle.  I have been tempted to throw in the box.  I would like my desk back to normal.

Almost done. It is a very pretty puzzle but a challenge…it has funky shaped pieces…and some seem as it they go in a little wonky.  It is a time burner …  Oh well it is too cold to do much else.

I used to love doing puzzles... Even those really complicated ones with funny shaped pieces.

It is a very pretty puzzle. With it being so cold outside it may well get finished soon. Keep warm.

I thought yesterday when I get my Christmas puzzle I would put it on a piece of board to put on my table so it can be moved out of the way in case we want to play scrabble or cards.

There is a puzzle like that going on constantly at the Senior Center. Everyone who walks by gazes at it and sometimes another piece is found. That's a pretty cardinal. :-)

Nice-looking puzzle. Wonky cut pieces are not my favorite: they make a puzzle too difficult. I love working on puzzles. Normally, I do two or more each winter, but this year I did some sewing instead of working on a Christmas puzzle.

My brother just put together this same puzzle. I put in a few pieces. It did have funky pieces, but it was very pretty when done.

We love jigsaw puzzles and I find the ones with wonky pieces easier than others. One time we did a puzzle that had a bottom part that was difficult but doable but the top part was all the same color of blue and all the pieces were the same with maybe a hair difference among them. That part was impossible so I just arranged all the pieces wherever - said "There!" and shoved them all back into the box.

They usually have a puzzle going here down in the community room. There are people who are there every day concentrating. They are addictive, that's for sure. I would love to do them at home but have no place to put one--LOL! All my surfaces are needed. That's a gorgeous cardinal puzzle. :)

That is an absolutely beautiful puzzle. I'd like to find one like it. What brand is it? Winter in Kansas, while not as cold as other places in the US, is a good time for doing puzzles. I've done the same thing as sillygirl but only once that I can think of.

Long time since I have done a puzzle. That is a beautiful picture though, and looks like it is very close to being done! Just thinking that we could set one up on one of our card tables (they are never used for cards, but come in handy for the market)........

VERY pretty! Keep at it! We did 3 over the holidays - all with missing pieces but it was still nice quiet together time for me and Mom (brother isn't at all interested in doing those type of things).

I am not much of a puzzle person but I know they can be addicting. There are usually several puzzles in process on the tables on the Whidbey Island ferry.

I love to work puzzles. I've been doing the computer ones, but I should pull out an actual puzzle sometime.

What a gorgeous one! My Mother loved cardinals and puzzles. We used to work on them together. Last summer when the kids were here we did one and I was going to frame it but there it sits getting dusty. We laughed so much over that puzzle and had such a good time it is now going to be an annual event! LOL! I'd better get framing it! We'll have a gallery eventually.
