The May Baskets are pretty much set for delivery...they may be one day late for most folks..it all depends how I feel.
They are supposed to be Hedgehogs...but might look more like Porcupines.
This pattern is the last of the Sack It creatures...I will have to start over again next year or find a new design. I have seven different animals over the years...dog, pig, sheep, owl, fox, raccoon and hedgehog.
May Day 1954 that was my dog Frosty in the background...he was a gift from my Maternal Grandparents. They always saw that I had a dog when I was little.Far Side

Such a cute picture of you with the May baskets. Look at all that snow on the ground on May 1st!
ReplyDeleteYou have done an owl but would it be difficult to do a robin. If you start them anytime before next spring, you will be the one to "see robins first"!
I can sure see the hedgehog. This is so cute and I know the recipients are going to be thrilled. I wish our area did things like this...maybe I need to start it? Such a cute picture of you with your little sweet May baskets... Everyone needs a dog growing up and even as we age...Happy Friday...Happy May Day..
ReplyDeleteSuper cute!! Happy May Day! Hope it finds you feeling better.
ReplyDeleteYour family will always treasure the gift you have made of May Day!
ReplyDeleteAren't hedgehogs just miniature porcupines? If not, they certainly look like it!
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet grandparents you had. You love dogs still.
ReplyDeleteYour May baskets are unique and creative. A day late will not hinder their specialness.
How delightful! They are friendly bears for me probably because I’ve only seen hedgehogs once when traveling overseas. Love them all. Happy May Day.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed at your creativity. May Day was never celebrated in my family though it was a few times when I was in elementary school. I don't recall ever doing anything for it other than perhaps getting a sucker from the teacher.
ReplyDeleteThose are the cutest May baskets. You are so creative and make those around you feel very special. You're Grandparents knew what they were doing. Every child needs a dog.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
It looks like May Day 1954 still had a lot of snow on the ground. Cute picture of you all bundled up.
ReplyDeleteWell done on the May Bag Baskets.
ReplyDeleteWow! Snow on May Day.
We spent the afternoon plant shopping. We bought plants, including even the ones we were looking for. :-)
Oh you look so cute in your little snow suit.
