I raided my "stash" upstairs for the beginnings of a new crochet project.
Not sure if this will be the final pick or not. The dark burgundy in front may not make the cut. Far Guy rolls all my yarn into balls for me...because I do not like yarn surprises like factory knots or thin spots.
I am going back to a pattern that I used years ago...individual fancy granny squares....maybe... we shall see how it all works out.
Quiet day on Wednesday. Not much accomplished except a really long nap.

ReplyDeleteIt is fun to have items on hand when you start a project whether it is a craft or a meal. And I have learned with recipes to make sure something is in the pantry especially if it is something I do not make often.
ReplyDeleteEggs - - - it helps to like them and I am glad I do like them hard-boiled cuz I eat a lot of them. They are good protein and safe for AG & GF. Hope you have a wonderful day.

That's so nice that Far Guy will wind your yarn! I bought a yarn caker from Amazon, and I only use it about half the time. I love using caked yarn, but winding it from the skein to into cakes sometimes just seems like extra work. Those colors are gorgeous. I can't wait to see the project.

Love the colors of your yarn. If it was me I would scrap the burgandy unless I used it as a center for the granny squares. Good luck.

ReplyDeleteI can just see all of these pretty colors mixed together. So nice that FG rolls the yarn into balls for you...I'm sure that this is a big help and like you say, no surprises in the yarn. I'm guessing this blanket might take you a day, maybe two... You really work fast.

ReplyDeleteI too like the spring colors! I spend the most money in the Spring on just about everything for the pretty colors! Boxes...stationary...flowers and vases. Spring towels and spring dresses for the grands!

ReplyDeleteThose are my kind of colors, except maybe the Burgundy. I have several skeins of it here in my stash. I need to use it on a lap or wheelchair blanket for the assisted living. I think it would be good for a man.
