Sundogs

There were sundogs yesterday. They usually show up when it is really cold.  It turned cold…our high for the next couple of days will be a minus high.   I hate those days. The least it could do is be above zero.   I use my old point and shoot camera on really cold days.  There were sundogs on both sides of the sun.

We got very little snow out of Winter Storm Hunter …maybe two inches of snow.
about an inch maybe two
The front yard is sparkling white again. There are seven inches of snow at the snowstick.
I have been working on some all ocassion cards…watercolor…doing a bit of exploration into a few different techniques…in other words …playing.  I am not quite sure where the time goes but it seems to go by faster and faster everyday.
We will be staying home for the next few days…the windchills will be horrid.  I ventured out last night to take my Dad to Bingo…we each bingoed twice so we can go back again next week.  It was –20F or  -28C eh!  when I got home safely.

Brr...Our cold weather is on its way. We were lucky. On Wednesday and Thursday the temperatures were in the fifties...a nice break from the near zero lows we had earlier in the week.

Brrr indeed! I'm glad I moved to a more temperate place. Alberta and Saskatchewan are getting that weather too, here in southern BC not so much.
The sun dogs are icily (is that a word?) beautiful.

That's hibernation weather, yuk! Around freezing here, we have some more freezing rain, but not enough to do any damage thank goodness. You sound like you are using your hours more wisely than me. Somedays I feel like I have accomplished nothing.

That sounds awful! Give me a good wet drenching instead of temperatures like those. I would stay inside if it were me. :-)

I love seeing sun dogs: they make me smile and remember my Mom. Kudos on the bingo wins!

I love the clear sky, but that's too cold!

And we think we're cold at 7 degrees F. (That was the low - high today 14) We don't venture out if we have enough grub on hand!

Brrrr brrrr brrrrr!!!!
I admire your artistic talent. We hope you show us some of the completed work one day on the Blog.
I have maybe or probably told you that "Life is like a roll of toilet paper - - - - the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes." I feel the same as you that time has sped up -- - - doesn't seem like enough hours in the day to get housework done and have time for fun, too.

Like the sun-dogs. Lots of wind here too.

Those sun-dogs are something! I have never seen them before although we have been having more below 0 temps here this winter than I would like. It sounds like you are having fun trying out different techniques. You know I am so silly, I actually thought I would have more time when I retired! Ha! The days just go faster and faster and I have more and more on my to-do list that remains undone!

Brrr...with temperatures that low, maybe it is a good thing that the time seems to go by faster and faster every day.

We used to get sun dogs in Iowa too and it meant it was REALLY cold! I am cold here and I dress in layers in the house! LOL! Stay warm and congrats on your bingo wins. We love bingo in our family too. My Aunt used to take us when we were kids but it was at the VFW and now you can't take kids to a place where there's gambling, drinking or smoking! LOL! We were lucky back then!
