Exploring: Metallic Water Colors

Last Fall I purchased some metallic water colors and really never had the time to explore how they worked.

Remember my word for 2018 is Explore.

Playing with metallic water colors

They are easy to work with.

Shimmery Colors

I stamped a bunch of butterfly cards that will be all ocassion cards.  The watercolors give them a nice shimmer, I may add a bit of glitter…you can never have too much glitter….can you?

Nothing much is new here, it is warmer and we may get into the 30’s F yeah!  The Janurary thaw has arrived!

My Dad and I had another Bingo date…neither of us bingoed but we were close several times.  Dad was one number away from the $1,000  blackout…we will try again next week God willing and the crick don’t rise.

I like the butterfly cards - they look pretty. It has warmed up a tad here also, but no January thaw. Seems like the cold weather just won't go away. Have a great weekend.

Yeah for warmer weather!! Your butterflies are very pretty. Also see a card with loons, my favorite bird.

Good luck next time. I smiled at the phrase, "God willing and the crick don't rise" as I remember that from my childhood but I cannot remember who it was who said it all the time. A relative, that's all I remember. :-)

I don't think I've ever heard of metallic watercolors. Could you do a close-up of the butterflies?

I love those paints and you know how I adore butterflies - very pretty! A good winter project. John and his grandma used to play a lot of BINGO!

Hope you or your Dad get the Bingo soon. Although, what matters most is that you enjoy the time out together.

I'll be rooting for you next week on a Bingo for one of you or both! Ilvoe those paints....I wonder if my daughter knows about them....we love art supplies of any kind and metallic and glitter and just 'bling' in general! She's an art teacher so if she doesn't have them maybe I could get her some for her birthday and some for me too! LOL! Love your cards....so pretty!

I love your word for 2018! You are so talented and creative it should carry you far. How well I remember the phrase "God willing and the crick don't rise"! I believe it was Tennesse Ernie Ford wasn't it?
