Looking a lot like April

I think that might be a new song.  "It's beginning to look a lot like ...April! the best time of the year."  OR  "Here comes El Nino right down the whole United States! "

Our days have been so nice!
The snowbanks have melted, water is standing at the snow stick. The grass will be turning green soon.

The photo above was taken looking out the living room window.

Oh well the soupy wet weather...(it rained) made for some perfect weather to start decorating the house.

The large wooden angel (she was a garage sale find) and the nativity set I made years ago in a ceramics class and the creche that Far Guy made for me a long time ago found their way to the fireplace mantle.  Never mind the nails in the photo, they are for hanging stockings and we just leave them there year to year.

Did I say I like El Nino winters?  Well I do. Oh I know the below zero weather will come again some day but until then I will be smiling. Well kinda half smiling half frowning...

Windows Live Writer is on the fritz again.  Those of you that are getting a message not found not found...until blogger fixes it yet again we are stuck with their archaic editor.

Such strange weather. I am enjoying the warmer temperatures too and would not mind having a warmer than usual winter. That last paragraph, to me, is like reading Greek. Sure wish I knew more. That is why you never see any changes in my blog. I know just enough to get by. Your decorations are looking pretty.

I've had quite enough of the rain this year. I'm glad California is getting some, but this is ridiculous. And it's melting all our skiing snow! Not much we can do about it, is there? Love the picture from your living room window. :-)

I live in Thunder Bay. Had my first birthday lunch *ever* in the rain yesterday. (I'm turning 60). I love the blue objects in your window. So pretty in the light.

Nice nativity set! I like your mantel decorations. You'll have to post another photo with the stockings hanging. :)

Enjoy the warmth and enjoy the season.

Here in MPLS we are having mild weather too, with a little rain yesterday. It must be the El Nino which they say is stronger this year. I will take it and don't miss the snow which has already melted, what little there was of it so far.

We had that lovely weather too and it was really kind of nice as ALL the snow was gone and then we got here at the house about 3" of new yesterday. Very pretty out again.

Once snow and winter comes I don't want mild weather until the spring when the snow goes away and stays away.

I can't believe how warm it is out there. I think we will rain the next few days and then it gets colder again. Your manger is great to see. I like the style of the part that Far Guy built.

I like your nativity. My dad made my stable and one for each of my daughters. It's the first Christmas decoration I get out, on the day after Thanksgiving.
Nice you are enjoying an extended fall. It will make the Minnesota winter go by much faster!

Same is happening here...we had 4/10s of rain followed by snow, followed by a melt and this morning....more snow. 26*F. Is as cold as it's been for the last couple of weeks....above freezing in the day. Mud season.

So glad you don't mind those El Niño winters. We're kinda glad for them, too, considering we're finally getting some long-overdue rain here.

Warm and wet here too, we might just have a green Christmas. I still have plants alive in my outside flower baskets. The lawn is still green. Maybe that's why it doesn't quite feel Christmassy to me yet.

Windows Live Writer is a blog writer. I use it to write my blog. It is wonderful. Blogger set up a screening process that won't allow it anymore. Open Live Writer is the next best thing but it has a few problems:)
