It takes all kind

A wonderful old friend used to say “You never can tell about people, it takes all kind to make the world go round.”

Far Guy parked in front of this piece of art one day last week.

Indoor outdoor carpet

This must be the newest use for indoor outdoor carpeting.  It not only covered the hood it covered the sides of the truck. I wonder if tiny seeds from trees will sprout there this spring?

I wanted to get a photo of the entire truck…but just then the owner appeared.  I hot footed it back inside my vehicle!  He hopped in and took the keys down from the visor…who would want to steal this truck anyway?  He looked kind of familiar to me, but I just couldn’t place the face…perhaps it was one of my old classmates.

I wonder what kind of glue he used?

I love how blogging jogs our memories. Some 35 years ago when my childhood friend Amy and I attended college together, we would often ride back and forth together from our hometown. Driving thru one small town, we would see an old car covered in green outdoor carpeting WITH fake flowers!!!!! We sure did have laughs over that!

You just never know what goes thru a persons mind that they would do such a thing. It will be interesting to see if anything sprouts in the carpeting.

My question would be, why?! Maybe it holds together the rusty spots.

Well, it certainly doesn't blend in with the other cars, does it? Maybe the guy likes to stand out in a crowd. :-)

Maybe he uses the truck to harvest fruit from trees and stands on it? Nice non-slip surface? Or maybe he's just nuts. :)

Can't say I've ever seen a vehicle covered in carpeting. When you clean the car do you wash it or vacuum it?

Wow!!! That sure is different, wonder if you have to vacuume too. Blessings Francine.

Hmmmm, maybe he couldn't afford a paint job or body work so decided to carpet the vehicle. ;o)

I LOVED reading the comments previous to mine. Some folks have a great sense of humor! I laughed out loud. But the carpeted car . . . one of things that make you say, "HUH?" I have never seen car covered with carpet. And it's not the kind of thing you want to do if you don't want to get noticed by the police. If that owner runs a red light or speeds, there is no getting lost in the crowd!

Ha ha - love the carpeted car!

I've seen some unusual vehicles here in Portland, but never a carpeted car! Talk about indoor-outdoor carpeting! :)

I see nothing good coming from this creative solution.

Carpet floor glue, of course! I guess it takes here only one of a kind. Textured cars I don't think will make it.

There's always something to surprise you. i don't understand why you stopped looking at the truck. last night I saw an antique tractor on a truck and I walked over and had a good look.

Oh my gosh, this is hilarious!! I have never seen anyone cover their car in indoor-outdoor carpeting before. Maybe he was trying to cover up the rust and thought this was a clever way of doing so?!

Maybe it's a car pet.

OMG! That is so funny! Like something from one of those Walmart emails that go around. ;)
