Late Lilac

I mowed the yard and one other area on Monday.  The weeds in the rocks near the house needed some attention.

Daisies are allowed along the edge until they look scraggly or someone is an overachiever when trimming:)

The Late Lilac is in full bloom.  Funny that the deer don't eat them too.

We took Tilly out for a cruise to A & W for lunch.

What's cooking? Ribs, salad and raspberries.

Minnesota weather: High 77F or 25C     Low 46 F or 8C

  2. That daisy looks like a brave old soul. So lonely and strong! Ha! Until you come along and mow it down. A & W sounds so good. I don't think we have one around here.
    Blessings and hugs,

  4. 25C is what it is here too. Much better than the mid 30's we had yesterday and the day before.
Nice that the deer leave your late lilac alone.

  5. The lilac is really pretty. I mowed yesterday too. Cut a few feeds with my weed whacker.

    Supper out is a treat.

  6. Darn deer eating your petunias! Why not the daisies in the rocks to help you out. :)
A trip to A&W in Tilley sounds like a lot of fun.

  7. My understanding is deer don't care much for scents. Most lilacs are fair game when in bud. Your deer must be well fed :) Glad they left them for you to enjoy. SO pretty! I miss my lilac trees.

  9. My lilacs did not do well this summer. I am a little jealous.

  11. Love the smell of lilacs! They do not last long here because it gets warm too fast.
Fond memories of root beer floats with a date!
