Wednesday was pool cleaning day and Sadie helped.
I stepped outside long enough to get a photo.
Far Guy went to his Pet scan…results will not be known until late Thursday. Far Guy is feeling scared, I cannot blame him as I am scared for him too.
I am still having some numbness on my left side (buttock, hip, leg and foot)and some pain from the incision. I have deep stitches and the a whole bunch of glue holding it all together. The glue is supposed to flake away during the first month. No sitting in water…so no pool for me. I can take a shower…with help. I am walking often.
Jen and Far Guy think I am doing great.
Baby K had the procedure that unties the tongue tied. Now she may gain some weight. Maddie said the procedure went well.
I will be back as I am able.
Far Side
thankful that the procedure for Baby K went well...I only wish the pediatrician had caught our baby W's before now...He is 11 months old which will make it difficult for him. Praying for the test results for FG to all come back with more than expected great results. My prayers continue for you as the healing process is taking place. Does Sadie get to swim in the pool? Our granddogs love my pool.
ReplyDeleteYes If you enlarge the photo Sadie is in the pool, she loves it!
You both are still in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteYou do seem to be doing well. I am scared for FG, too, but know that everything is in God's hands.
ReplyDeleteOne step at a time! Thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteHealing is such a journey...and a long one at that. Hang in there, Connie! This whole thing will be a distant memory one day. Still praying for both you & Far Guy, especially for the rest results. ~Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear baby K's procedure went well. It does sound like you are doing really well, little steps in the healing process. Sending prayers.
ReplyDeleteKeeping you and Far Guy in my thoughts today. Waiting for medical results is already scary. I hope your fears are relieved somewhat.
ReplyDeleteGood news about Baby K.
Take care!
Stay strong, heal well, you and Gene are surrounded by a lot of love and prayers.
ReplyDeleteEvery day is a step closer to health! My prayers are firm and constant for you and Far Guy!
ReplyDeletePraying for positive news for FarGuy and healing for you both.
ReplyDeleteContinuing to pray for all of you.
ReplyDeleteSending prayers of healing, positivity and good vibes to both you!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pool! Too bad you can't go in...I would think that would be relaxing. I get a kick out of videos of dogs loving the water. I pray Far guy gets good results from the scan and that your hearts can fins some peace.
ReplyDeleteKeeping you all in my prayers! It sure sounds like you are doing well with your recovery.
ReplyDeleteWaiting for answers and a plan is hard. My best wishes for you both, as you heal and wait.
ReplyDeleteKeeping everyone in our thoughts here.
ReplyDeletePrayers for an acceptable PET scan. It sounds like you are healing well, one step at a time. Holding you guys in my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteContinuing to pray! I know the anxiety of Cancer. (Be still and know that I am God) .......Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord., plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future " .....God is with you always!
ReplyDeleteGood that baby k's procedure went well and good to read you are healing even if at times it doesn't feel like i t
ReplyDeleteSadie is a happy girl! I'm so glad the baby's procedure went well. I've known several babies that have had this done and you would never know now that there had been an issue at all. We pray constantly for both you and Far Guy. I can only imagine the feelings that you both have. You probably have the results by the time I'm writing this, (I just got my computer out of the computer hospital a couple of hours ago.) I think you're doing very, very well. Don't do too much.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
If the glue is Dermabond, I had it with Cancer surgery. It took a lot longer than a month to flake off. Thought I'd let you know. Thinking good thoughts for both of you.
ReplyDeleteWell, I can't blame far guy for being scared. Cancer is scary, but there are many kinds of treatment and hopefully they will find just the right kind for him. I hope that he can find peace through it all, as many of us have had to do. Know that our prayers are with you Gene. Always.
ReplyDeleteI hope the scan results are good. They are so helpful in detection of those unwanted cells.
ReplyDeleteGosh I could use a pool this weekend. Perhaps a stock tank will work.
Glad you are moving better and of course all is well with Baby K.
