Some of my Sheepjees Stone Wash yarn has similar colors...since I like to make yarn balls out of every skein I needed some way to keep track of colors...I have 30 of the 36 colors.
Using clothes pins/pegs works quite well and will also help me with choosing colors to reorder and help with the color decisions for a mosaic crochet project.
Far Guy is a great yarn winder. I pile the near his desk and he winds while watching music videos or movies.
This yarn is a cotton /acrylic blend so it washes well and you lay it flat to dry. I use it for my small purse projects and presently a mosaic crochet as you go blanket.

What a clever idea! I love it. Best way I have ever seen to keep track of yarn.
That is a really clever idea!
What an absolutely great way to visually organize colors & use clothespins! Love this!!!
I have seen others that do this with clothes pins and they all say that it makes it easy to choose colors to work with. I go through yarn so quickly that I just use it from the skein. :-)

That is brilliant!

A wonderful idea and less confusing than relying on yarn labels.
You clever gal, you!!!! You never cease to amaze me, Connie!! :-) ~Andrea xoxo
Great idea! I hate winding balls of yarns from the skeins as I always end up with a tangled mess. I'm obviously doing something wrong.
Clever idea. What beautiful colors, too.
I echo the other comments....brilliant!
Not only is this a great organizational tool, but it's so pretty besides.
An artists needs to know their palate. My wife is big in following the color charts for her painting. I just don't paint so I don't have to worry about it. You have made some great art works with your yarn.
That looks very practical and kind of pretty too.
Love all the colors.....can't wait to see what you make next! Way to go far guy!
Very smart idea! I love the colors, too.
YOU are way too organized!
Very clever system! And they look so pretty in their array, I’m sure they are inspiring.
