sNOw Day

I am convinced this snow is all my fault.  We were home a few days and I put one pair of snow boots away and got out my Spring/Summer boots.  I wear them when it is muddy and when I mow the grass and when I spray weeds.  So I had one pair of snow boots and one pair of mud boots at the ready...depending on the day.

No mud, grass, pollen or weed spray on them.  They are just sitting there waiting, perhaps I need to shove them back in the storage chest.

Yessiree another snowy all day day.  Just thrilled.

  1. Two inches of rain in Galla Meadow, but that’s better than your snow. I keep snow boots and rain boots on the back porch too.

  3. Well I watched the radar and figured you were getting snow as we got some nice rain and harsh winds on the ridge. I must say, it feels more like March here than April, but we may warm up this weekend?
I hope spring comes on for you guys. However, at least you have moisture right? Wasn't it rather dry last spring?

  4. This does seem a bit excessive. It must be those boots! :-)

  5. We had another frost the other night but a big storm came through and now today is going to be 77 and tomorrow 80! I have the heat on this morning! We will go right from heat to AC. It's time for the 2nd mowing too. Crazy weather!

  6. The snow is pretty, though I'm ready for spring. Got another winter storm watch for the weekend for our area. I hope it's rain. Karen

  7. Goodness! Sunshine here in Iowa. But it is not meant to last. We are getting rain for the rest of the day and all day tomorrow I guess. Not good for Sidewalk art, but I'll take the rain over the snow at this point in the year. Hopefully you enjoy snowshoeing. Then the snow is not such a downer.

  8. Yes, please put away the jinxing boots. We got the last of the snow melted yesterday. Again. It's supposed to be 80 over the weekend. But it could snow on Monday, you never know!

  9. We actually got a little rain yesterday. Only about 1/10th of an inch, but we were happy to get even that little amount. Hopefully WHEN that snow melts you'll have lush green everywhere.

  10. What a pain. We've had a bit of snow but it's melted as it hit the pavement. Still I wish I could pull out my rain boots. Let's hope the weather changes soon.

  11. Oh my! Dennis is waiting for the grass to dry from the fog this morning so he can mow it again. However, the day after he drained the gas from the snowblower, we had snow. Like you, he believes sincerely that the snow was all his fault for draining the tank! :-) This is the craziest spring I've seen in a long, long time.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  12. Oh Connie, that snow tho!! *sigh* Yep, whenever I put my snow shovel away, that leans up against the railing on the back porch all winter along, it always snows after that! You'd think we'd learn by now, wouldn'tcha? Hope that white stuff is gone soon for ya all. ~Andrea xoxo

  13. So here it's your fault. LOL! ;)
We got rain here. What a difference a couple of degrees can make.

  14. It isn't a pretty sight anymore. I worked outside this morning in cold and humid weather today. Colder day coming tomorrow. The boots make great decorations in your box.

  16. hat must be a record for spring snow. No magic bullet to get rid of it. we'll just have to tough it out.

  17. I can't imagine living with your weather. We are having lots of spring beauty, as you have seen from my posts, but we are all complaining because it is too cold. It has made it up to 53 at 1:00. We might make 55, but with a chilly wind.
I like your red boots. I am trying to decide what footwear to use for tomorrow. We are going to the Skagit Valley to see the tulips, and it will be muddy, but we are expecting a dry day.

  18. Red has just posted snow at his place too. I think it's past time to tell winter goodbye!

  19. I'm so sorry. Two weeks ago we had family visit from Mississippi. I ordered a winter coat for my 9 year old great niece and took a quick look online at clearance winter coats for me. And found just what I had been looking for all winter at the price I wanted to pay (80% off!!!). So my husband has been blaming me and my new winter coat for our stinky snow!

  20. Yes, I'm sure this snow is all your fault, Connie. Maybe our snow here in Northern Wis is all your fault too? Well.....maybe not. Although I would put those muck boots away! We still have big mounds of snow like your "June"....all around. Yes we had snow yesterday too. It will probably go from cold to 80 degrees this year.....just watch!

  22. Please let go of winter....we are getting tired of summer here at the bottom of Africa :D

  23. Wish we could swap. I'd be willing to give you some of my sunshine for some of your snow. Not that I don't like sunny days, but I like snow days better.
