Rain

We got some rain instead of snow and the sun came out for a bit toward evening.  We sat outside with my other baby brother and she who sees robins first.

In the afternoon we went for a Ranger Blue ride to recycle.

This is snow fog.  We had snow fog all morning, the snow melting in the rain made a fog.

June the snowbank is shrinking.  The rain helped her shrink.

You know what they say about April Showers they bring May Flowers...we shall see.

  1. Cool photos! Love snow fog, it is so neat looking. Our grass is finally greening up and the rains are such a good thing here,...we needed the moisture.

I still like the Ranger idea. My neighbor told me about a 4 wheel drive golfish-cart that has a dump box and is a hybrid vehicle for a nice price. I am passing this year and dealing with the old 4 wheeler and the skid steer for now.

    :)

With this moisture, you shouldn't have any fire danger this spring!

  2. We went from snow at the beginning of the week to 80 degrees yesterday. So I hear. I caught a stomach bug from the grandkids and never made it to a window.

  3. Glad to hear you're getting rain instead of snow. Fingers crossed that the temperatures improve and June disappears soon.

  4. With rain your June bank may not survive May. which would be a good thing. I am wishing for you the greenness that will hopefully come to you soon. With our abundance of spring beauty here now, It seems only fair that we should share some, if only we could.

  6. We don't have anymore snow. We had stormy weather last evening and the wind has been incredible. All month. I'm not sure about May flowers!

  7. I didn't know about "snow fog"...learn something every day! Glad you were able to get out on Ranger. June is still looking pretty hefty! I can't remember what date I picked but I think it's passed already.

  8. We get snow fog sometimes, too... quite an interesting weather effect to watch. We've had the most annoying on-going high winds (25-60mph) nearly every day for weeks now; people are so tired of it because you can't get out to do anything because the air is nothing but dirt. Today is one of the few days so far that is reasonably "calm" at 20-25mph. Right now we need moisture badly, but in spite of it everything is turning green and flowers are starting to bloom. Going with son and grandson this afternoon to look at and maybe buy some of the veggies we want to plant. If nothing else, get some flowers for grandson to put in the two smallest planters at their house. (Basically, the outing is because the grandson needs some "gramma time.") Sending up many prayers for all of you, dear Connie. Hugs!

  9. Ranger Blue is a very helpful member of the family. By the looks of June I think she will be gone long before the date I guessed but for your sake I hope she does leave early!

  13. I hope you have a sunny warm day tomorrow. Rain can wash away lots of grime.

  14. Our snowbanks are melting too! Hooray! The strong winds today opened up about a third of our lake...so we can see open water for the first time since last November! Hooray! Glad you got to go for a ride on Ranger Blue and visit with your family too. All good things!

  15. Boy, the rain sure helped melt the snow. At least all of the rains weren't snow!
    Blessings,

  17. We have had the same wind that Diana talked about. Today is ridiculously windy too. we actually had to turn the A/C on Saturday for a few hours because of the high humidity and it was 89 in the house. Now the furnace is running again! It's crazy.
June is shrinking fast! Hopefully the snow is done for you now.
Still praying for Far Guy and his family.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  18. That cold air that you are sending us today certainly will not melt June. We are to have a hard freeze tonight. Too cold for me to work my dirt in the garden.
