I came across a beautiful little puzzle that was a gift from Nancy last year, I had tucked it away for a special day.
It is a wooden puzzle with very vibrant colors.
The back is very interesting too! Note the bird shapes.
Thanks Nancy it was a fun puzzle! Nancy lives in Wyoming, she is a marvelous knitter and makes Quilts of Valor for Veterans, I have enjoyed her blog for a good long time!
We got some snow yesterday and it blew around. Far Guy got his usual Thursday Infusion it was a one stick day...so that was good!

Very neat puzzle! Love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat an unusual but great puzzle.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very unique puzzle and I am guessing it may have been a challenge...assuming that the back of it is what the pieces looked like. Gonna hope over and visit Nancy.. More snow for you guys and we had to turn the air conditioning on...Crazy isn't it? Happy Friday.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! What a fabulous, beautiful, and clever puzzle! And the birds on the backside make it even more special. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteGoodnight Gram
I think the owl is beautiful. Such a thoughtful gift. The wind was fierce yesterday.
ReplyDeletegonna be stormageddon here for a week or so...sat, tues, thursday...no time to melt inbetween...winter's last gasp i hope
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful puzzle! I did one last winter that is 2 cardinals - also resulting in the shape of the birds, and containing some bird shaped pieces. It was hard, but very pretty when done.
ReplyDeleteA few years ago my daughter, granddaughter, and daughter-in-law gave me shaped wooden puzzles for Christmas. They were disappointed that each one had bought me the same gift...but actually each puzzle was different...one was an owl like yours is, another was a fox and the third was a lizard. I really enjoy them. Every so often I bring them out and work them. They are different from any other puzzles I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteHurray for a one-stick-day!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous puzzle. They have several of these in various shapes I have seen online, but have never known anyone who actually put one together. They do look really pretty! :)
That's very cool. I'm interested in the quilts for veterans thing, I'll go look at Nancy's blog.
ReplyDeleteLove the owl puzzle! My MIL was gifted a similar Wolf shaped puzzle a couple years ago. Colors are very vibrant.
ReplyDeleteLove the puzzle. Glad Far Guy’s stick is over til next time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely puzzle!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the Far Guy's appointment went well this week.
That is so cool
ReplyDeleteCelebrating the One Stick for sure!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great puzzle and I really like the birds on the back too. How cool is that? Nancy is a pretty wonderful lady. Yay for the one stick Thursday! I'd call that a win for sure!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
