It might be cold but at least its windy.
I snagged this photo from facebook. Just thought I would share.
I finished the Coodie for Jen yesterday...they still walk Sadie on days when it is above zero.
Here I am taking a selfie with Jen's Coodie. So that project is done!
We went as far as the Post Office yesterday to mail the tax forms back to our accountant...so cross that off of our list too!
It has been one week since the steroid injection into my back. I still have pain and a horrid numbness...I have to be real careful how I walk...as I cannot feel the outer portion of my left leg and foot...all my toes are numb except for my big toe. I am hopeful that this next week will make a difference in the pain.
Far Side
Did you ever have that kind of cold at your home place?
ReplyDeleteYes it is very cold there too.
DeleteOuch, that sounds horrible. Not feeling things like that would make it so much harder for your balance and walking. I sure hope you feel some sort of relief soon.
ReplyDeleteWell, stay warm!
Oh my goodness - - - I cannot and do not even want to begin to imagine that kind of cold. That is horrible. It is super good you found that project to keep people's heads, faces, and necks warm. That is a blessing for sure. I know last winter was also cold but it seems this one is worse for temperatures or maybe not. Last year you had a bad storm that had you stuck in the house at least a few days or maybe I am remembering wrong. Isn't that the time when your husband was so sick and in the hospital?
ReplyDeleteI sure hope you get feeling back in your legs/foot. Hopefully it is only the effects of the injection. How would a person know if that is the cause or a pinched nerve? Just curious. Do you need to use a cane or hold someone's arm while walking? Very thankful you are being cautious.
Nope I walk by myself being careful
DeleteI like the coodie...and maybe a Chiropractor?
ReplyDeleteFeel better...
hugs
Donna

DeleteYou have a will to find things to do. I so admire you for it. I’m thinking of making one of those hats but we’re about finished with our extreme cold so I may put it off. Be careful not to hurt your back. Steroids create a good feeling but make you vulnerable to injuries. I wish there was an answer to your pain. So many hills to climb. Praying for you to have a rainbow and some sunshine at the top of one of those hills.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry the shot is working. Hope it starts working soon.
ReplyDeleteNoticed just as I pushed the Publish button that I left out an important word. I am sorry the shot is NOT working. I don't call numbness working...it is another difficulty. I have a come and go numbness in my finger tips...very annoying.
ReplyDeleteStay warm!! This cold really is brutal. Negative 14 here this morning when I got up, with a "feels like" temp of negative 36. Glad I don't have a dog to walk this morning. But we finally got snow yesterday - about 4". I sure hope the numbness goes away - and the pain.
ReplyDeleteJens coodie will come in handy with those temps!! Hope your pain lessens.
ReplyDeleteHope you get some relief from the cold, and the pain soon
ReplyDeleteThe coodie looks like it would be very warm.
ReplyDeleteYou really should produce and sell the Crochet Coodies. They are so cute and they look very warming. I simply can not imagine below 0 temps. just wondering if the numbness was to be expected with your injection? Hoping this changes soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you are still having so much pain. The numbness has to be frustrating. The cookie looks warm and snuggly.
ReplyDeleteIs that for real? We have lots of snow, but not cold like that!
ReplyDeleteYes it is very very cold outside. The wind is just raw.
DeleteYour Coodies are just perfect for this winter! We haven't been as cold as you (and I cannot imagine how cold it is with those winds on top of the temperatures!) but it has been cold enough for me. I try to plan all outings in one swope so I can get home to my warm house. Prayers your leg and back get better next week. I'm so sorry.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that the injection hasn't provided much relief. Is it causing the numbness? If so, that's not great.
ReplyDeleteNice coodie!
I'm so disappointed for you that the injections haven't helped much. And the numbness must be awful.
ReplyDeleteThat is COLD. It's really cold here too and we're in a winter storm warning for tonight and tomorrow.
My tests from the endocrinolgist have come back and I don't see her for another year to repeat it all once again to make sure there are no changes. Isn't it great getting old?
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
Oh my gosh....that's terrible that you have that numbness going on. How scary. I'm praying for you, that somehow, someway you get relief from all your pain. And keep warm you guys!
ReplyDeleteThe brutal cold has arrived here, too. I avoid going out, especially at night when it’s even colder. Be careful on the ice and snow!
ReplyDeleteBe very very careful when you walk I'm still dealing with various complications after fracturing my ankle bones last October. I also cannot imagine your frigid temperatures. Brrrrr!!
