Windy Day

It was very windy all day yesterday (Friday) not sure what the windchill was but winds were gusting around 50 mph...the snow is all a grey color now...some of the finest soil in North Dakota was airborne.  We are in the deep freeze now for a few days.

Even Sadie wanted to stay in... the wind scared her.  Jen went out with her so Sadie could do her business.

Three of six crochet projects...and a puzzle.  I wonder which one will be finished first.

Supper was "What is in the fridge"  in my case that was peas and scalloped potatoes.

Evening activities are...a hockey game on TV, petting Sadie, crocheting, maybe some Deal or No Deal Island, petting Sadie.

FYI when I play tug with Sadie I should not sit in a computer chair on rollers...

  2. The wind is howling here. Cold is coming. It’s good to have several distractions. The Chiefs play football today…one thing to do.

  3. I collect phrases people use for meals with no planning. "What is in the fridge" is not one I have heard often though it does get used. In our family, "fix it your own" was the phrase of choice. One of my favorites was a family that said it was time for "spare portions".

  4. Oh my gosh you had me laughing at the chair in wheels. When our very last dogs were here, I would puppy watch them, and crochet in the computer chair (floors were the only uncarpeted at the time). Ha ha! Now you have me wanting to add a dog back to the homestead. Can't wait to see what you are crocheting. By the way, thanks for the inspiration on the puzzle activity. I actually bought one. My husband is looking forward to helping too.

  6. The wind howled here yesterday too. Our wind chill wasn't near what yours was thankfully. That will probably happen on Sunday. We have no snow at all, so that dirt blows very easily. Stay in this weekend and keep that plan going - puzzle, crocheting, and of course more petting Sadie.

  7. Did Sadie give you a ride?! It was extremely windy here, too. It's calm right now but it's not supposed to last.

  9. My favorite was the last sentence. I can just see her pulling you all over the room in the chair! It's CCOOLLDD here too today and even colder the next few days. We've gotten spoiled this year with warmer weather. Your evening activites sound just perfect to me.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  11. I chuckled at Sadie rolling you around in a chair. She is good company.
Does it really matter which project is completed first? In any event. I'm sure they will be lovely.

  12. Sounds like Sadie could pull you all around!
The weather will be nasty if you are in the wind.
    But we have sunshine today.

Love the 'what's in the fridge ' , we had breakfast cereal last night. I was so tired.

  16. Very cold and still fairly windy. All kinds of frostbite warnings.
I love the picture you made of Sadie dragging you in the rollie chair! LOL!

  18. According to my sisters who live in Manitoba it is minus 24C with a windchill of minus 38. I am so glad we moved ( some 60 years ago now). Our temperature this morning was 0C and we thought that was cold.

  19. It's cold here, too, but nothing like your cold. I don't like it!

  20. The grandkids would love that game with Sadie if they were in the rolling chair!
Your projects are very pretty - - - but your weather is not!

  21. We are having roast tonight with potatoes. It will last for three days and that is great. Beef gracy is good by the time we get done with it. LD
