Little Elvis 2009 - September 27, 2024

Little Elvis was almost 15 years old.  He was my constant companion in the Winter time, sleeping most nights at the foot of my bed.  I will miss him, he was mostly deaf and could hardly see anything...old age is hard on dogs.  BUT he had a good life!

Little Elvis has left the building.  Rest in peace little buddy.

Little Elvis and Miney helped to cushion the loss when Chance died in 2018, Little Elvis cushioned the loss of Miney in 2021.  Now they are all mourned and missed more than ever. They were a real pack! Three of the bestest dogs ever!

  11. Aww! Rest in peace, Little Elvis! It's so hard since they don't live as long as we do. We lost our little Gracie in July and my son and his wife just lost their Molly last week. But grief is the price of love- I sure wouldn't choose to live without them.

  14. Oh, I find this so hard. Strength in processing it. But I think this blog is a beautiful tribute to little Elvis and offers a good glimpse. What a sweet dog to see. Was he ever mischievous?

  18. So sorry about Little Elvis, what a beautiful dog! We just love them so much, it's terrible. Our old Labrador is 12 now, she's slowing down, and it is almost unbearable. Hugs to you all, so sorry.

  23. I'm so so so very sorry about Little Elvis. I don't know how I missed the fact that you had a sheltie! What a great trio of dogs you had, and all those memories. It must be way too quiet now. I'm so sorry.

  24. Awww so sad that he too has passed. Dogs just have too short a lifespan- but 15 years is a good long time considering. I'm sure you miss him and thanks for all those lovely photos of him- and nice to see Chance in them too.
