  3. I am picturing in my mind that tragic morning - and the fear in the faces of my HS students and all of our staff. Ironically it was Homecoming week at our school, and the theme that day was to honor our military. Staff that were veterans (or active duty National Guard) were in uniform, and we had lots of students who had borrowed various uniform pieces. It was a surreal day that I hope we never see repeated.

  4. Yes, long may she wave... and be honored & defended... which seems out-of-fashion these days. *sigh* ~Andrea xoxo

  5. That flag belongs to all of us, no matter how we choose to honor it.

  6. Amen. Thank you for this beautiful post. May we always remember the lives that have been sacrificed both on 9/11 and by our military members and police through the years as they guard and protect each one of us.

    LONG MAY SHE WAVE.

    Blessings,
    Betsy
