Saturday

What a week!  Got a little weeding done last night…I find it theraputic just to yank weeds out of my little flower garden. I get almost as much enjoyment out of weeding as killing poison ivy!  I took some junk to a small sale in Osage…got some sun…and sold a few things…not a huge sucess but less stuff our daughters will have to deal with.

Loon Flag

Put up a new flag.  This is my “too much “ flag.  Iris never bloom the same time Ratidida…not sure what the pink flowers are.  The Loons should be sounding the alarm with the Eagle in the air…yet they seem calm.  The artist just didn’t know when to quit.

  1. You're right that the eagle would have made the loons anything but peaceful like in this picture. You've got a spam comment I see. Unless you're in the market (just kidding). :-)

  2. I haven't been out in my garden for a week, and now we'll have to wait until the rain passes through, and then I'm sure there will be weeds to pull.
Your new flag is pretty een if pretty unrealistic.

  3. Your comments on the flag made me chuckle. Sometimes you sound so much like me!

  4. I love to pull those pesky weeds too. The flag is still pretty despite the overkill! lol

  5. I finally got a raised bed for my garden... well half of it, not the potatoes and corn- which makes it almost enjoyable to weed! That bending over is tough for me.
Artist's privilege... everything can work together in one's imagination!

  6. What you said about the flag is funny. It made me stop and really take a look.

  7. We got quite a bit of weeding done too last week. Therapeutic cover my love of the activity though I gave up the veggie part of it a few years back. Luckily we don't have poison ivy on our land but some distraction on my part caused me to grab and pull a clump of nettles....UGH!

  8. Okay. Sorry to rain on your party, but I hate weeding. Nothing therapeutic for me!

  9. I would have never noticed all of those little details. I would’ve just looked at it and thought, “what a pretty scene.” Ha ha!
    Blessings always, Betsy

  12. Pulling weeds can be quite rewarding, I agree. In fact I pulled so many yesterday that I'm quite crippled up today ( bad back).

  13. Weeds tremble when you walk by...

Glad you got some of that stuff sold, and got some sun in exchange. Sounds like a good day.

  14. The artist of the flag evidently put all his favorite things on one canvas regardless of if they were environmentally correct!

  15. Where is the moose? It really is a little bit too much but they wanted to put everything in there that people might like to see. Some of the painters of light with the glowing windows of lights in the day time do that same kind of thing. It still has great color.
