Easter Report

We had a quiet day at home.  Decided to make lasagna late in the day.

There is too much flu out there to go out for dinner or to relatives where we were invited but my Dad has a cough and my baby brother’s wife has strep and Influenza B.

Our Nurse Practitioner daughter has told us to stay home when ever we can and out of germs.   She says going out once a week for groceries is questionable…

Anyways we went for a walk in the afternoon. We didn’t see anyone.

It is no joke, we have snow for Easter on April 1st.  The big storm missed us but we may get more snow this week.  Who really knows or cares anymore at this point.

Have a piece of chocolate…

  2. Reese's are my favorite. We stayed home alone all day, too. Trying to avoid germs if we can.

  3. I hear you about going out - too much crap going on out there. Just isn't worth the risk of getting sick. Happy Easter and thanks for the chocolate. Big hug for Chance.

  4. We had snow for Easter, too. Trees are trimmed with it and the ground is covered. Ohio Easter!

  5. I have found that chocolate helps just about anything seem better. We are both fairly healthy and we avoid the germ fest that is out there.

  6. Glad to hear you stayed away from any possible germs yesterday. A quiet Easter Sunday sounds good to me. I didn't go anywhere, either, but that is my usual practice on Sundays. I read and potted flowers on my front porch. Looks like it was sunny for your Easter Sunday; ours was surprisingly pleasant. :-)

  7. We had snow here in KS yesterday- at least the temperature is in the twenties and not single digits! Wonder if Hugo's would deliver groceries?

  8. You are getting the sicknesses in your area that we had in Tennessee about a month ago. That is when I caught pneumonia. A couple weeks before that both our grandsons had Type A Flu.
By the time your springtime gets there, at least we should be done with this horrid pine pollen!

  9. What a smart thing to do. I know we stay away from crowds and hubby wears a mask if he has a VA appointment. He cannot afford to get sick.
    I do the shopping.
Oh yes, we are supposed to get a snowstorm tonight? 10" maybe? Sigh.

  10. Hey, I'll have the chocolate. Yes, as hard as it is , it's better to stay home when there is flu out there.

  11. Staying home was a good decision. The crud is making another round in my area, too.

I didn't buy any Easter candy and plan to stay out of the stores until the clearance sales are over. 😉

  12. Gosh...all that snow would make me tired, tired, tired. We have a red flag warning here...high winds, lots of dry fuel, then a cold front...but no moisture.

  13. Yes! I totally agree--stay away from everybody. Maybe even have someone bring you your groceries if possible. Hey, you have chocolates! You know you can survive almost anything with chocolates. ;)

  14. Chance looks like he is waiting for someone to come visit! You are smart to stay in and away from the germs. Still flu going around and neither one of you need that! We at least saved money this winter by not going out to eat or anywhere else for that matter. Since the flu was so bad this year it seemed to be the best decision. Are you two fighting off cabin fever? We have had a bit of that but I keep dreaming of spring! We had two inches of snow and ice for Easter which is unusual for Missouri in April. It is staying below freezing too so the snow is not going anywhere. Thanks for the chocolate! I love peanut butter eggs!

  19. It is true that you have to stay away from everyone. We went in for Sunday school after getting that viral thing almost defeated and we picked up the lung congestion stuff, kids or even at the restaurant. I go to th grocery store by myself most of the time, a mile away, to keep my wife out of the cold and away from people. Her heart congestion condition means her catching something and it then lasts twice as long as normal. That candy dish is wonderful and I bet the chocolate is great too.

  20. What's this with lasagna for Easter?! We ended up doing the same thing!

I remember ending up with snow for Easter one year when we visited my in-laws in Colorado. Instead of a snowman, my daughter and her aunties made a snow-bunny.

  21. I think that is why I've stayed do healthy and ordering online. I did go to Walmart last week and I will probably still do grocery shopping in person but other than that I stay home. There really isn't any place to go around here anyway unless you want to drive for 3 hours....NOT! Online keeps the treasures coming in! LOL! Stay cozy and savor those Easter treats! Mine are gone already!
