It rained yesterday just like summer. Someone once told me when it rains it is tears from heaven. It must have been a good day for dying.
Our friend Joe from Indiana the WWII Veteran left this world early in the morning Friday.
That little town in Indiana will never be the same without him. Happy Trails Joe..it was an honor to be your friend!
During his last few days, Sue would bring the horses over to the yard so he could see his friends from his bed near the window.
I wrote about Joe on Veterans Day 2012. Sue said Joe liked what I wrote:)

ReplyDeleteI live in Indiana. I'm sorry Joe has passed away I would have liked to get a chance to know him. Seems like we are losing so much in our country. It's a sad feeling all around. Hugs for those who knew Joe and are missing him.

Sorry to hear about Joe, it sounds like he was quite the man.
ReplyDeleteA neighbour of ours, 96, passed away New Years Day. He was a real go getter character too. Went on a cruise to South America on his own in his early nineties. Owned a border collie until he was 95.
Bless Sue's heart for doing that for Joe and God Speed to Joe.

ReplyDeleteJoe was one of the young ones who served. I do remember you blog about him. It is sad to see them leave us behind. I don't think I even know anyone now who was in the service still living.
