Happy Mother’s Day!

Far Guy and I took my Mom and Dad to lunch one day this last week.  I made my Mom a card.

My Mom and me on May 2, 1953.

Since I was a very stubborn, head strong slow to yield to authority child I am certain she should get some kind of a reward. Oh yes my perfect siblings must have been her reward!

Bowling Ball

For now my new yard art in my favorite turquoise/aqua color sits out in one of the wild gardens. Thank you to my talented and she must have been covered in glitter youngest daughter Jen!  I will think of you every time I open my trunk because I think that bowling ball rolled out of it’s box at least once on the trip home.

Happy Mothers Day!

To all the Moms out there ..Happy Mothers Day!

Mom sometime before 1950 Happy Mother’s Day to my Mom!

This is a picture of her before I made her a Mom.  She signed this fancy old photomat  photo “Me”.  But is it my Mom, I would know her anywhere.  This photo was taken in the late 1940’s..she was probably around 18 or 19.

She was very glamorous with what looks like bright red lipstick and a head full of finger waves. Before Moms were Moms they had time for makeup and fancy hair styles. Babies change all that.

Before you know it you are a Grandma..and then you are a Great Grandma.

This photo was probably taken In May of 1998..right around Mothers Day. A four generation photo.

Mother's Day!

This is the card that I made for my Mother for Mother's Day.  I have a scrapbook program and it makes lovely photo collages, so I can make my own cards.  I understand that Hallmark might be upset..I am sorry I buy very few cards anymore, I make mine so they are one of a kind, and special..just like the people they are given to.

Far Guy and I took both of my parents out for lunch one day this week, my Mother liked her homemade card very much.  There are five generations on this card.  I have featured most of these photos recently in my Wistful Wednesday posts.

Happy Mother's Day to my Mom and all of my readers that are Mom's, I hope you have a special day:)
** The scrapbook program I use is called Memory Mixer
